Summary
Reading Truck Body, LLC (Reading) is recalling certain 2017-2021 Marauder Landscape Dump Body vehicles. The dump body hoist subframe rear pivot mount weld may fail.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and reinforce the weld as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 12, 2022. Owners may contact Reading customer service at 1-610-775-3301.

Subframe Hoist Rear Mount Inspection
Purpose: Inspect the installation of the subframe hoist’s rear mount to the chassis frame, specifically looking for proper bolting and/ or welding practices.
Background: Incorrect or inadequate fastening methods can lead to failure of the rear mount.
Inspection Procedure:
SAFETY: Please use safety glasses and gloves during the inspection.
TOOLS: Flashlight, camera.
1.) Take pictures of the rear fastening location of subframe hoist, driver side and passenger side. Please be sure to capture all areas where the rear of the hoist is fastened to the frame. Examples:
2.) Navigate to the Reading Truck website and begin a warranty claim – https://www.readingtruck.com/owners/warranty/. Be sure to completely fill out all required information, including the VIN. Please also type “TSB 22-01” in the Claim Details section as shown below:
3.) Attach the photos of the rear fastening points to the claim and submit.
Next Steps: Reading Truck will evaluate the installation and provide a response within () business days. If the installation is acceptable the unit may continue in service. If the unit needs modifications a Reading representative will reach out to set up a repair.

Reading Truck Body (Reading) has decided that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists in your vehicle with the VIN stated above.
What Is The Concern?
Reading has found that the dump body hoist sub-frame rear mount weld joints can fail increasing the risk of personal injury or a crash.
What Should You Do?
The vehicle(s) listed were sold to you and have been identified as vehicle(s) that are subject to the potential weld joint failure. Please confirm ownership of the vehicle(s) and make an appointment to have your vehicle inspected and repaired at an authorized Reading Truck location. Please email warranty@readingtruck.com or call 1-800-458-2226 (option 4). The repair will be completed at no cost to you.
How Long Will the Repair Take?
The inspection of your vehicle will not take more than 15 minutes. The Reading Truck location will inspect and perform the repair free of charge. If repair is required, it is recommended that you plan to leave your vehicle with the dealer for approximately 2 hours to have the recall remedied.
