Summary
Tilting Motor Works is recalling certain TRiO Conversion Kits. The bolt that connects the shock hoop to the pivot plate may fail and cause an immediate loss of traction power.
Remedy
The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2021. Owners may contact Tilting Motor Works customer service at 1-206-399-0102.

This notice is being sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor
Vehicle Safety Act.
Tilting Motor Works has decided that there is a defect which relates to your TRiO kit.
Why is your equipment being recalled?
There have been reports of the bolts connecting the shock hoop to the pivot plate failing. Since
suspension and steering are critical safety systems, this safety issue can cause the unit to become
inoperable or cause immediate loss of traction power, which would make the vehicle more difficult to
control and increase the risk of a crash.
What will we do?
Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to contact their dealer for help scheduling a service
appointment to have their TRiO kits inspected and replaced if necessary, free of charge.
What should you do?
Please contact the dealer you purchased your accessory from for help scheduling a service appointment
to have your accessory inspected or replaced.

this notice as a dealer that may have sold one or more of these kits.
Why is the equipment being recalled?
There have been reports of the bolts connecting the shock hoop to the pivot plate failing. Since
suspension and steering are critical safety systems, this safety issue can cause the unit to become
inoperable or cause immediate loss of traction power, which would make the vehicle more difficult to
control and increase the risk of a crash.
What will we do?
Tilting Motor Works will be notifying all dealers by mail. Dealers are being asked to contact all owners
that they sold the TRiO conversion kits to and help the owners schedule an appointment to have the
TRiO kits inspected and replaced if necessary, free of charge.
What should you do?
Please try to contact any owners that sold the TRiO accessory kits to and help them with scheduling
service appointments to have the accessory inspected or replaced.
