Meritor provided all of the affected axle serial numbers and Terex determined what vehicles those axles were installed on. Production Dates : JAN 18, 2022 – DEC 05, 2022 VIN Range 1 : Begin : NR End : NR Not sequential Description of Defect : Description of the Defect : Meritor MX-23810 axles may contain bolted joints that are suspect to improperly torqued fasteners at the steer arms, king pin caps, caliper to knuckle, and tie rod castle nuts. A improperly torqued fastener may become loose. FMVSS 1 : NR FMVSS 2 : NR Description of the Safety Risk : Loss of vehicle control or property damage could result from the loosening of a fastener, particularly if the vehicle has multiple fasteners affected by the condition.
