After registration, if number of access keys indicated in "Readout the
number of Access Key registration" is the demanded number,
registration is completed correctly and is normal. If registration
completed before registering a desired access key, such an
unregistered access key cannot be used anymore. When necessary,
prepare a new access key, and perform additional registration.
Check that the access key to be registered is an unregistered new key.
When registration is impossible, the key may have been registered on
another vehicle. Therefore, prepare another new access key and
register.

Time-out occurred while registration was attempted for
an access key that was registered on another vehicle.

Note:

• Before handling the airbag module, refer to
"CAUTION" in "General Description" described in
the "AIRBAG SYSTEM" section.
• Do not let the harness and connector interfere or
tangle with other parts.

A: Removal

• When the steering wheel and steering angle
sensor (steering roll connector) are removed,
perform "VDC sensor midpoint setting mode" of
VDC.
1) Replace the air duct cover LWR.

• Before handling the airbag module, refer to
"CAUTION" in "General Description" described in
the "AIRBAG SYSTEM" section in the service
manual.
