I purchased a new 2026 enclosed car-hauler trailer and discovered multiple potential safety defects shortly after delivery. STRUCTURAL WELDING: Multiple frame/cross-member attachment areas underneath the trailer appeared incompletely or inadequately welded. Because this trailer is designed to transport a vehicle, I was concerned about the structural integrity of these connections under load and during highway use. An independent professional trailer repair facility inspected the trailer and determined that frame welding repairs are necessary. The facility provided a written estimate specifically for repair/fix of the frame welding. The affected areas remain available for inspection. CARGO SECUREMENT: Multiple factory-installed floor D-ring mounting bolts were discovered to be less than hand tight. These D-rings are intended to secure vehicles/heavy cargo during transportation. Had I relied on these factory-installed securement points without checking them, they could potentially have loosened or failed while securing a vehicle. TIRES: The trailer was delivered with mismatched tires installed on opposite sides. Some are ST225/75R15 Load Range D rated at 2,540 lbs maximum load at 65 PSI cold, while others are ST225/75R15 Load Range E rated at 2,860 lbs maximum load at 80 PSI cold. The trailer therefore had tires with different load ranges, load capacities and maximum inflation pressures. The trailer has a 9,990-lb GVWR and two 6,000-lb axles. The independent trailer facility recommended replacement with a matching tire set. ELECTRICAL: The factory 12-volt electrical system repeatedly blew fuses during normal use and appeared to have shorting/wiring problems. Numerous individual circuits were connected directly to the battery using stacked ring terminals and inline fuse holders. I was concerned about an electrical short, potential fire, or loss of trailer electrical functions. These conditions were documented with photographs shortly after delivery and reported.

The AWD coupler is shuttering and making the vehicle shake on turns . It is a common issue with KiA awd systems which is why I don’t understand why it’s not a recall! It puts people’s life’s at risk because upon accelerating at an intersection the binding does not let the full acceleration of the vehicle to take place . I have not yet got it serviced because it’s a pricey job . I just bought the vehicle last month and the warranty expired at the beginning of this month ! How do I purchase a vehicle and expected to to pay for a repair that is known to KIA AWD SYSTEMS !!! My vehicle only has 40k miles on it and from horror stories I hear it goes out more then one time .

My "Vehicle Health" reports all systems good on the BlueLink App-- however, when I open "diagnostics history", it shows 8 repeated reports under DTC: C183987 (SAFETY - Anti-lock Braking System). There is also a reports for a DTC C186B87 (ELECTRICAL- Lane Departure Warning System), and a C188087 (null). So there are 10 total reports of this in my history between 11/7/2025 to 9/18/2026. The reports for the anti-lock breaks were reviewed by the dealership and advised by Hyundais tech line that they were just glitches in computer system. However, they have continued. And on top of that, I just filed a separate report about my car accelerating when I pressed the brake (thankfully it happened in a parking lot)-- no idea if its related but its all fishy. Thus I will be going back for another review by dealership "service" team. Initially the first few reports did have an ABS light that showed up on my screen which is what prompted me to look into the app for issue only to see it said everything was fine, until I looked deeper at the historical reports. But lately there has been no ABS light showing up on my dash but the reports are still coming in.

Summary
At approximately 42,000 miles, the AC system on my 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe suffered a potential immediate and premature failure, creating a severe driving safety hazard. The AC expansion valve began actively leaking refrigerant inside the dashboard, rendering the climate control system completely inoperable of normal operation. In Florida's high humidity and heavy rainstorms, this loss of proper AC function means the windshield defogging/defrosting mechanism fails to dehumidify cabin air. This results in sudden, severe window fogging while driving, heavily obstructing visibility and creating an imminent crash risk. Furthermore, as a senior managing multiple health conditions, a gradual, then total loss of cooling in extreme Florida heat poses a direct medical and physical safety hazard. The independent repair facility that fixed our vehicle noted an alarming pattern, servicing about 6 newer Hyundai models from our car's age group for similar AC failures and expansion valve leaks within a single month. Because an expansion valve is designed to last the life of a vehicle, this failure at 42,000 miles—combined with active industry investigations into internal Hyundai compressor degradation shedding debris downstream in the AC system—strongly indicates a systematic material defect. We have spent about $2,800 out-of-pocket to recharge the system, add dye, lose the charge again, and ultimately replace the valve inside the dashboard. Unfortunately, because Hyundai refuses to check our vehicle at their expense to find and remove potential Teflon or metal filings caused by this widespread compressor issue, and if needed, replace the compressor and other compromised components, this internal degradation can continue to cause recurring component leaks and damage at our unaffordable expense, while continuously releasing refrigerant into the air.

This is a widespread problem across the Ford expedition. I've read forum after forum, facebook group after facebook group and have seen that many expeditions are affected by this. The front end of the Expedition; primarily the steering and suspension components, cause a strong vibration when approaching 70-75 miles per hour. I have replaced the tires on my Expedition and had them mounted and balanced by Ford, only for the problem to still exist. I mentioned this to Ford directly and they told me that there is no way for them to replicate the problem because they won't take the vehicle over the local speed limit. However where I drive all across the country for work, the speed limit is approximately 70 -75 miles per hour. This is a severe issue as Vibrations could easily cause an accident.
