Summary
CVT has gone into safety/limp mode. June 7 2026 First sign was the EPB not releasing. Became drivable after warm up period. Replaced EPB switch and vehicle drove normally. There was still a parking brake caution light. On July 12, 2026 the issue repeated. This time the check engine light and transmission light have come on. Had it diagnosed at a mechanic and they found transmission codes: P0717 – Input/Turbine Speed Sensor "A" Circuit No Signal P0843 – Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit High P0796 – Pressure Control Solenoid "C" Performance or Stuck OFF P0717 – CVT Input Shaft (Drive Pulley) Speed Sensor "A" Circuit No Signal ABS Module Codes: 83-16 – Malfunction of Shift Position Signal 83-14 – Malfunction of Electric Parking Brake System Electric Parking Brake Module Codes: U0401-68 – Invalid Data Received from Powertrain Control Module (PCM) U0402-68 – Invalid Data Received from Transmission Control Module (TCM) CVT and rear diff fluid appear dirty and burned. Apparently there was a TSB issued that extended the CVT warranty to 7 years or 150,000 miles. We did not receive that notice. We purchased the vehicle used from Honda
in 2019. Currently has a total of 39,831 miles. Mechanic is recommending replacement of CVT system for approximately $11,000. The value of the vehicle with repairs is only about $14,000 We were lucky that this occurred parked at our house. Had it occurred while driving, it would have caused immediate stop in traffic with no brake lights lit. Honda knew there was an issue with the CVT drive belt and the PCM. Honda really should have made the effort to communicate this issue to customers and extend the warranty based on mileage rather than years of service. Needing a new CVT at less than 40K miles of light driving is not reasonable wear and tear. Unfortunately, this has likely ended our 40 year history of purchasing Honda
autos.

Vehicle Model: CR-V
Model Year: 2007
Summary
My 2007 Honda CR-V was repaired under NHTSA Recall 23V-228 for corrosion in the rear frame at the trailing arm mount, a condition Honda
's own filing says can allow the trailing arm to detach while driving. My vehicle received the support-brace remedy rather than a full structural repair. Since that July 18, 2023 repair, the vehicle has developed Right Rear (RR) tracking instability, whooshing and high-pitched whistling noises, tire bead damage, and toxic exhaust fumes entering the cabin. The component at issue is the rear frame at the trailing arm mount, along with the related RR suspension/tracking behavior and RR tire. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request and is currently located in Wilmington, Delaware. Because corrosion in this area can allow the trailing arm to detach while driving, and my vehicle now shows RR tracking instability, pulling, and a sheared RR tire bead along with toxic exhaust fumes in the cabin, I believe these conditions risk loss of vehicle control and expose occupants to hazardous fumes while driving. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent shop. Union Park Honda could not duplicate the noise I reported on October 30, 2023, and independent shops since December 2024 have performed repairs but have not confirmed a root cause for the tracking, noises, or fumes. No formal inspection has been performed by Honda's engineering staff, police, or an insurer. Mechanics at Union Park Honda and four independent shops (Penny Hill, Firestone
, Harvey Road Automotive, and Mighty Muffler) have attempted repairs, but none has performed a structural or root-cause inspection. No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared at any point. The first symptom I noticed was the whooshing noise, immediately after the July 18, 2023 recall repair.

Summary
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Engine, steering. Purchased the car from a certified dealership in January 2026. After 3 months of driving, the car began exhibiting performance issues. During a normal acceleration pattern, the car would go into a ‘limp mode’ where all dashboard lights would turn on and the car’s performance became severely limited. Acceleration is barely possible when this happens and the car must be turned off and restarted in order to get the car out of ‘limp mode,’ which is a MAJOR safety concern communicated to Honda
. It is also of major concern that every time there is a performance issue, every light illuminates, not allowing the driver to diagnose and safely operate the vehicle without Honda assistance with diagnosis. Honda
scans revealed P3004 engines misfire code- recommendations included replacing a spark plug. I replaced all four spark plugs and performance returned to normal. Steering recall (Recall Campaign SJS- 2022-25 Civic EPS Grbx Safe ) was also repaired on 6/24/2026- the car was exhibiting steering tightness and locking behaviors which were resolved after this repair. On 7/9, the car was traveling at 70mph when all dashboard lights came on once again. The car did not exhibit performance degradation at this time and was immediately taken for additional engine scan, which provided new code P0299 Turbocharger Underboost problem. Honda reported this code was not present during the scans on 6/24/2026. Dashboard warning lights disappeared on 6/25/2026. On 7/16/2026, the car began exhibiting major steering wheel locking and tightness, much worse than before the steering recall was fixed. I am unsure if it is related to the Turboboost issue. The car also began exhibiting engine performance issues again, rendering the car unsafe to operate until taken back to Honda for further diagnostics.

Summary
I am reporting a potential safety issue involving my 2020 Jeep
Grand Cherokee Limited X. The vehicle developed a condition in which it would not stay running. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealership, Valley Motor City in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, for a scheduled service appointment on May 19, 2026. The dealership diagnosed and completed approximately $5,200 in repairs. On June 11, 2026, I was informed that the repairs had been completed, but the vehicle still would not stay running. The vehicle has remained at the dealership while technicians have continued attempting to determine the cause. After I escalated the matter to Jeep
/Stellantis Customer Care, I was advised that the dealership is attempting to obtain additional diagnostic information and that an engine replacement may now be under consideration. I was also advised that the dealership is expected to complete higher-level technical review procedures and may request assistance from a Stellantis technical specialist if the cause still cannot be determined. I was later advised that the dealership was expected to provide follow-up information to Jeep
/Stellantis by Tuesday, July 14, 2026. On the evening of July 14, 2026, the Jeep
/Stellantis case manager advised me that the dealership had not followed up with her, and that she would follow up with the dealership and escalate the matter to her manager. The vehicle remains unresolved after 2 months of diagnosis and repair efforts. I am reporting this because a vehicle that stalls, shuts off, or will not remain running may present a safety risk, particularly if the condition occurs during operation. I do not know the root cause and do not want to speculate. I am requesting that this report be recorded as a potential safety issue involving a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X.

Hyuandi recommended a fuel induction completion to prevent the issue from occurring again, but it did. This is a safety issue because the car and stall out at any given time. The cause of this issue has yet to be detected. It is believe a recall is needed on the GDI engine and catalytic converter.

Driving on highway, tried to accelerate, the car was acting like it was in neutral and would not accelerate. Checked to ensure I was not. the car began decelerating and I started to pull over. As I entered the brake down lane - the car automatically switched to park jarring the car to a stop. The dashboard provided the following fault "shift system fault service required" Tried shifting to drive, neutral, reverse and each time it would shift back to park and give me the warning. Had to have the car towed. The dealership is very vague on the root cause of the issue saying i need a new transmission. I specifically asked if the root cause was the CDF drum issue but they will tell me why the failure happened. Still waiting for my car to be repaired.

Summary
The Acoustic Vehicle Alert System (AVAS) stopped emitting sound for no apparent reason. On June 2nd, I took it to Honda service center, they said the speaker behind the front bumper needed to be replaced. I paid $699.56, only to discover that the AVAS still didn't work. I took it back, they said the accoustic unit needed to be replaced. I paid $707.57. On June 18th, they called me to pick up the car; I asked if the sound was working, they said the sound was there but it wasn't as audible as in other comparable cars. When I drove the car, I found a parking lot and drove below to 25 miles, even when the car was put in EV mode, I personally could not hear any noticeable sound even with the window open. I had contacted American Honda, and reported the issue, especially that the service centers didn't seem to know how to fix the issue. I requested from American Honda that they dispatch an egineer or provide the Honda service centers with directiond how to fix. Nothing happened. I'm not convinced that the AVAS was fixed. The design is faulty and many cars risk to be grounded because of that. The worse part was that the Honda service centers are not able to fix the issue. I just wasted $1,407.13 (plus the Uber rides) for nothing. Also, I don't understand why they held the car from June 2 until June 18th, and when I asked about the status, no meaningful update was given. This issue is likely to occur again with thounsands of hybrid
cars.
