Summary
My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has been subject to four safety recalls in the ten months I have owned it, three involving vehicle fire risk: 56C/25V-527 (TPMS, completed), 68C/25V-741 (high-voltage battery cell separator damage/fire risk, completed), 78C/25V-766 (casting sand contamination of the engine), and 21D/26V-363 (electric hydraulic power steering pump overheating/fire risk). Recall 78C was announced November 6, 2025, warning that my engine may be contaminated with casting sand and may suffer catastrophic engine failure, a vehicle fire, or an unexpected and unrecoverable loss of propulsion. More than eight months later, no remedy has been performed on my vehicle and the recall remains open. Recall 21D is also open, with FCA instructing me to park outside and away from structures because the vehicle may catch fire even while parked with the ignition off. Under recall 68C I was previously instructed not to charge the vehicle.

Summary
Without prior warning my power steering went out. This could have been life threatening. I had to have it towed to the dealership (Voss Chevy, Centerville OH). The truck had 66,552 miles on it and the extended warranty that we purchased thru Voss expired on 26 Mar 2026 and although we were under the 75K mileage, they would not honor it (planned obsolescence?) So they replaced the steering gear for $2183. After researching, the literature says that diagnostic code C1599 (which is what Voss saw) indicated that the steering rack is completely fine mechanically but it has simply lost its electrical connection. In addition, literature says that a steering rack should last at least to 100K miles. There are also multiple issues documented on carcomplaints.com regarding the loss of power steering. Perhaps a recall is needed. In addition, I believe we were mislead as to what repairs were needed.

Summary
Tried passing someone on the thruway, as I was about to the car jerked a bit then started decelerating. The check engine light started flashing and so did the oil light. Read the code as cylinder 3 misfire and a knock sensor. Changed the spark plugs and coil packs then checked the oil and saw there was no oil in the engine. Was told by my mechanic it’s a common problem with these Hyundai engines, it seems the rings are getting fried in the engine and that’s why it consumes oil so quickly.

I parked my car and when I returned to it the car would not start. Diagnosed as a faulty fuel pump. Had this problem occurred while I was driving it could have caused serious injury or death. The multipurpose front camera on my 2021 Honda Passport failed without warning, causing mutliple Honda sensing safety systems to become inoperative. Warning messages appeared indicating failures of the collision mitigation braking system, adaptaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation system, and other driver assistance features. The vehicle has not been involved in a front end collision and the camera failure was diagnosed by a Honda dealership as requiring replacement of the multipurpose camera assembly. This is a significant safety concern because the failure of a single component disables numerous advanced driver assistance systems that are designed to help prevent crashes. I have learned that similar front camera failures have been reported by owners of other Honda models using comparable Honda sensing technology. Because this failure affects critical safety systems and appears to be more than an isolated incident, I am submitting this complaint so it can be documented and investigated.

7-16-26, I was driving on the highway. All the warning lights on the dash lit up. The car dropped down to 20 miles per hour. I tried to speed up, but could not. It is experiencing an extended crank, sever stuttering and engine stalling. It has actively thrown code P0087 for low fuel rail pressure. An independent service center confirmed the code P0087. The dealership performed diagnostic test and confirmed code P0087. The component was part of recall: 21V-215. There were no other warning lamps, messages or symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. My car is currently at the dealership because Honda has denied the claim. I have a 3 day free loaner from the dealership. I have escalated to Honda Corp. I will need a car for longer than 3 days while I wait for the escalations department to make a final decision.
