The infotainment center screen in my 2021 Kia Sportage is DELAMINATING. The uv gel adhesive that holds the screen is failing. This is a known widespread safety issue as many controls are handled through the infotainment touch screen as well as the screen displaying the back up camera visability. Summary
Two days after buying the car while on a trip to [XXX], while driving 70 miles per hour on an interstate using cruise control, the car quickly breaked and our speed went down to about 40. Scared us to death. We pulled off the side of the road to regroup and understand what just happened. We didn't understand and continued and stopped using cruise. We found a Hyundai dealer in [XXX] and went to ask them if they could help. It was a salesman who first quizzed us about where we brought the car, why we didn't buy from them, and pointed to the cruise control button and told us to take it back to the dealer We purchased it from. We just went on our way. Since that time, this car has braked suddendly, on it's own at least 12 or 14 times. It doesn't just brake, it stops. We have almost been hit numerous times, the seat belt has kept me from hitting the steering wheel, dash or windshield several times during this sudden breaking. I took the car in fir the recall that was supposed to fix this problem. It has not. Twice last week it decided to brake twice, once putting us in a serious position on the roadway while making a left turn. I took it back today and explained the situation. After they had it a couple of hours, they told me nothing was wrong with it. I am afraid to drive it and I know what is happening on an irregular basis. A.The engine is stalling while driving. This has happened four different times. Three times while towing, and one time while backing up a small hill. This is a scary situation because three of the four times almost caused an accident. 1.We were driving to Texas, pulling a pontoon boat. While exiting the highway, we were entering into an intersection at a speed of about 10 miles per hour, and the truck shut down. The truck said, “Start the motor and place it into gear.” Or something similar to that. 2.We were in stop-and-go traffic on the highway, and the truck shut down. Once again, I had to restart the motor and shift into gear. 3.We were entering a parking lot from the main road, and the truck shut down. Again, I had to restart the motor and shift into gear. 4.The three times above are during a time when we were towing. The fourth time is when we were backing up a small hill. The rear tires lost traction and spun for a second or two, and then the truck shut down and started to roll forward. Once again, I had to restart the motor and place it into gear.

When using the CarPlay feature I am not able to use the maps. When using the maps the it glitches out and constantly reroutes spastically and feels very unsafe while driving. I looked up if this was a common issue with other 2024 rav4 owners and I learned it is. It was explained as an issue with the antenna not being able to keep up with the location of the phone. This issue has caused me to not be able to use my screen while driving and defeats the whole purpose of having that feature in the car. I tried calling a Toyota dealership to fix the problem but was told I would need to pay 200 dollars just to get the car looked at and being as this is a defect with the vehicle that feels unfair. I appreciate any assistance you can offer to resolve this issue for myself and any others experiencing the same problem.

I own a 2024 Hyundai Tucson hybrid SEL with a genuine Hyundai trailer hitch & trailer wiring harness that were installed by a Hyundai dealer. My vehicle was included in Recall P90. As part of the recall, the dealer disconnected & removed the wiring harness because Hyundai did not have an approved replacement available. As a result of the recall, my trailer lights no longer function. I can no longer legally or safely tow my boat trailer because the trailer has no brake lights, turn signals, or running lights. Before the recall, the trailer wiring worked properly. I contacted Hyundai Customer Care & requested an approved replacement wiring solution at no cost. I explained that the recall removed a factory-approved, dealer installed towing function but did not provide a remedy that restores the vehicle's towing capability. Hyundai advised me that no replacement remedy is currently available & would not escalate my concern. I believe this is an unreasonable lack of remedy for a safety recall. The recall has left my vehicle unable to safely perform the towing function for which it was equipped. I am requesting that Hyundai provide an approved replacement trailer wiring solution that fully restores the original towing capability at no cost to owners. No repair date is given for this repair. Summary
On July 16, 2026, a remote Over-the-Air (OTA) software update was initiated by Volkswagen. Prior to this update, the infotainment system functioned correctly (backup camera and other safety features are displayed on this screen. Immediately following the installation, the system module failed, rendering it unusable and multiple safety features negated by this failure. Although the vehicle is outside the standard factory warranty period, this failure is a direct result of a manufacturer-instigated remote software transmission rather than standard wear and tear. Furthermore, because this failure has disabled the backup camera, the vehicle is no longer compliant with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 111. Other safety features have also been disabled and this faulty infotainment module has been confirmed by the service department at the Volkswagen dealership as of 17 July 2026. They noted that this is a known issue across many vehicles and platforms and has not been addressed by Volkswagen corporate at the time of writing this report.
