Summary
The driver's side (left front) door failed at the check-arm attachment point inside the door assembly: the spot welds securing the check-arm reinforcement bracket to the inner door structure cracked and separated. The vehicle is a commercial fleet 2022 Ford Maverick XL SuperCrew with approx. 82,000 miles. The vehicle and failed component are available for inspection upon request. First symptoms were difficulty opening and closing the door with popping/cracking noises. No warning lamps or messages occurred; the failure is concealed inside the door. This is a safety risk because the check arm attachment supports the door's structure. The same weld separation on related vehicles has been documented by NHTSA (investigation PE23-013) to cause doors that fail to latch, fail to stay closed, or open while driving, risking occupant ejection and injury. The failure was confirmed 7/17/2026 by Grapevine Collision Center (Grapevine, TX) after a Ford dealership stated there is no recall or warranty coverage for the Maverick and referred me there. The shop diagnosed broken check-arm welds and quoted $2,602.46 for a door shell replacement, noting it has seen this identical failure on Ford Escapes and Lincoln Corsairs. Not inspected by Ford, police, or insurance. This is the same failure mode NHTSA investigated on 2020-2021 Escapes (PE23-013), which Ford addressed via Customer Satisfaction Program 23B56 covering 2020-2023 Escapes. The Maverick shares the same C2 platform and door design but is excluded, leaving owners to pay out of pocket for a defect Ford repairs free on sibling vehicles.

Whenever I cancel FSD in this Tesla for any reason, a highly distracting ‘forced feedback’ panel pops up on the single information screen, obstruction critical information. Summary
As I was backing out of the driveway I heard a strange noise and the steering started feeling crunchy. I parked the car and when I got out I saw a very large bolt on the ground that appears to have dropped out of the car. This seems to be the same issue as described in safety recall 23V-235. My vehicle is exhibiting a loss of drive power, particularly uphill, with a diagnostic code of P0088 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too High). This is the same defect addressed by recall campaign 23V634000 (Kia SC281), covering the high-pressure fuel pump / fuel control valve plunger on 2018-2021 Stinger vehicles. I had the SC281 recall repair completed on this vehicle on Novermber 16th 2024. I am now experiencing the same symptom and code the recall was meant to fix, indicating the repair did not resolve the defect. The original repair only updated the software but did not replace the fuel pump. The dealer, Jack Daniels Kia in NJ, has quoted me a $250 diagnostic fee before proceeding further. Under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act (49 U.S.C. § 30120), once a safety recall has been issued, the manufacturer is required to remedy the defect, including diagnosis tied to that defect, free of charge to the owner. This applies whether the issue is addressed as a continuation of SC281, a revised action (I was told a repair labeled "SC281Y" applies, though it does not currently appear in the dealer's system under my VIN), or simply as a recurrence of the same defect after an incomplete repair. The SC281Y memo from Kia is PROOF that Kia knows the original SC281 fix did NOT resolve the defect for my car. This is a dangerous situation that KIA MUST resolve. I am requesting that Kia: 1. Confirm my VIN against campaign 23V634000 and clarify the status of any SC281Y follow-up action. 2. Investigate why the original SC281 repair did not resolve the defect. 3. Waive the $250 diagnostic fee, as it is tied to a defect already covered under an open federal safety recall. 4. Perform any necessary repair at no cost to me.

I am submitting this complaint because I believe this issue presents a serious safety concern. My 2014 Hyundai Sonata experienced a failure related to the steering angle sensor, causing the ESC, ABS, and traction control warning lights to illuminate while driving. As a result, these important safety systems lost functionality and were no longer available to assist in maintaining vehicle stability and traction during normal driving conditions. This failure occurred without warning and required replacement of the steering angle sensor, followed by a required calibration. A critical steering-related component should not fail under normal driving conditions, especially when its failure can disable multiple electronic safety systems. Drivers may not immediately realize that these systems are no longer functioning, increasing the potential risk during emergency maneuvers, wet road conditions, or sudden avoidance situations. While researching this issue, I found that many other Hyundai owners have reported similar steering and electronic stability control problems. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether steering angle sensor failures, related steering system components, or the associated calibration requirements represent a widespread defect affecting 2011–2014 Hyundai Sonata vehicles. If this issue is determined to be common, I ask that Hyundai be required to address the defect through an appropriate recall or extended warranty program so owners are not responsible for repairs involving a critical vehicle safety system.

Summary
The issue my car is having happens when the car is but I am at a complete stop and the auto on/off stop engages. I start again and turn the wheel all the way to the left and begin to drive. The wheel locks, then violently snaps back. In some instances it will set off the sensors and disengage the vehicle while I’m pulled out into traffic. I have brought this to the dealerships attention as well as corporate Hyundai. I was told they were able to recreate the problem and it is standard operating procedure. I was given a loaner vehicle and it did not perform this way and so I am doubtful but have also heard may others complain of the same issue.
