I bought a 2022 Pacifica Hybrid in October 2022. At this time, I was driving 70 MPH and the car started to slowly stop. Then, I tried to drive into a nearby Starbucks to check it out. I turned off the car. Everything was OK such as oil, coolant, a/c, windshield. Then I restarted the car and the "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" and the turtle symbol were gone. I thought it was okay, so I continued driving. 5 days ago (XXX), I had a trip to San Antonio. When I was driving close to Austin. My car showed "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" and the turtle symbol again. At this time, I stopped on [XXX]. I feel very dangerous for me, my wife and my 2 children. I feel very scared and confused when I am driving on [XXX] and the car stops like that. I feel like our lives are in danger while driving. Then "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" and the turtle symbol appear more frequently. My car has appeared "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" and the turtle symbol 6 times in 3 days. Yesterday was [XXX]. When I parked in my driveway, "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" and the turtle symbol also appeared. Every day, I must take my 2 children to school in my 2022 Pacifica Hybrid. Now, I feel very scared when driving. The vehicle in question has been experiencing multiple ongoing mechanical issues, including engine stalling, frequent brake replacements, frequent oil changes, a camshaft issue, and intermittent horn functionality. These issues have raised serious safety concerns. Despite multiple repairs and maintenance attempts at the dealership, the problems persist, affecting both my safety and confidence in the vehicle. I have incurred substantial costs for repairs and rental cars while trying to address the issues. However, the problems remain unresolved, and I am not receiving adequate support. I contacted the corporate office for assistance, but the representative dismissed my concerns and stated I would need to provide maintenance receipts, even though the dealership had already confirmed they were unnecessary. This response was unhelpful and failed to address my safety concerns. Additionally, the service manager at the dealership has not offered satisfactory solutions or alternatives to resolve the ongoing issues. As a result, I am no longer comfortable continuing with the vehicle. Due to my financial situation and outstanding loan balance, I am requesting a goodwill replacement vehicle or a reasonable alternative that will allow me to maintain my current car payment without a substantial down payment or negatively impacting my credit. A replacement vehicle, ideally of the same make and model or comparable, would help me meet my financial obligations while addressing the unresolved safety and reliability concerns.

The tire pressure light continues to alert never going away and tire store says it's a sensor but it's causing my tires to get worn quicker and have had 2 blowouts I have tried to get this resolved and repaired by Volkswagen but the customer service employee said I was crazy because they have never had 1 recall on my vehicle and that she was going to report my VIN number for illegal reporting of recalls to have repairs that I want free of charge then proceeded to tell me my kind are liars, stealing from Americans and needed to be taken to my country and I would be in trouble for calling them falsely reporting repairs needed to gain free mechanic repairs so I would not have to come out of pocket.

Summary
I bought this vehicle at 80k miles and I have had an on going issue with the transmission. I have done research online and found that GM had put the wrong fluid in the transmission from the factory that has caused internal issues with the transmission leading to hard shifting and transmission shuttering. On my dime I have changed the fluid twice already and also the torque converter as well. This issue has gotten better but still a problem. This has caused me to not be able to trade my truck with out being upside down because of the dealers telling me they would have to put a new transmission to sell it. So now my trucks value has dropped as well. Now I am stuck in a truck that is not safe to drive. Thanks GM for not helping me.

Summary
Component or system that failed: Flex plate, engine electrical system, and alternator (possible related failures). The issue has been diagnosed by a licensed mechanic and is available for inspection upon request. Incident Description: On April 15, 2025, while driving my 2020 Ford Fusion SE 1.5L Turbo, the vehicle suddenly experienced a total power failure. The check engine light began flashing, and the battery light blinked rapidly. Within seconds, the engine shut down completely while I was mid-drive in traffic, leaving me stuck and unable to move for over 20 seconds. This was a terrifying and dangerous situation that nearly put my life at risk. I was eventually able to restart the vehicle, but it began shaking and rumbling violently — worse than ever before. This issue was never present before my car was involved in two separate collisions, where both other drivers were found 100% at fault. The vehicle was repaired at Fix Auto Santee (a USAA-assigned body shop), but they failed to inspect internal components. A licensed mechanic at J&L Auto Care later confirmed a broken flex plate and advised it was unsafe to drive. This problem has not been addressed or fixed by the responsible insurers (USAA and AAA) or the body shop. It has progressively worsened and now created a life-threatening situation. Warning lamps or symptoms before failure: A rattling and vibrating noise began immediately after I picked up the car from the body shop in March 2025. No lights were initially present. The electrical and engine lights only appeared on April 15 when the engine shut down mid-drive. Inspected by: •Independent service center (J&L Auto Care, diagnosed flex plate failure) •USAA and AAA were informed but refused to cover or further inspect the damage •Fix Auto Santee heard the issue but refused to inspect, citing body-only service Problem available for inspection: Yes — vehicle is currently undrivable and available for full inspection.

While driving the vehicle, 4x4 and low range would engage on its own. It would cause the transfer case to grind, clunk, and lock up. This happened while the vehicle was in motion and could have easily sent the vehicle out of control. Some warning lights appeared on the dash. I took it into the dealership, they diagnosed it as a glitch in the transfer case actuator software. They updated the software and declined my warranty claim since the powertrain warranty did not cover software updates. I had to pay out of pocket for this fix. The issue is common to this model.

Summary
I started noticing rub marks on the interior walls next to the night stands after the last few uses, and they appear to be getting worse after each use. I was made aware of the deck/frame flex issues the some GD fifth wheels are having and was referred to TSB 24-001. My RV is experiencing the exact concern described in the TSB. I opened a case number with GD, and took the RV to an authorized repair center. The repair center took measurements and confirmed my deck flex concern with GD and recommended a complete replacement/repair of the structural material and hardware. GD denied the claim! They only authorized replacement of the Lag Screws only, with larger lag screws per the TSB. In reviewing the TSB I don’t see how this fixes the problem! It only provides a temporary bandaid to the deck flex issue which will return after the next couple of uses. (The repair facility agrees that is a possibility). How does installing a larger fastener into an already compromised material provide a permanent repair? From what I’ve seen, the material it’s being screwed into is only 1” x 1”. Drilling a larger hole and installing a 1/2” dia. screw doesn't seem to leave much material left for structural integrity. Since GD has denied a complete and proper structural repair, I could only hope that this Deck Flex issue doesn't come back worse, resulting in an accident while traveling causing an injury or fatality. Being the original owner of this RV, I expected better customer support from Grand Design.
