Bravo Trailers, LLC has decided that a defect, which relates to vehicle safety, exists on Trailers with certain batches of CA-5400-O and CA-5400-B couplers manufactured by Pacific Trailers Products, Inc. This notice applies to your Trailer which may have a defective coupler. WHY DOES MY TRAILER NEED REPAIR? Part: Coupler Part Numbers CA-5400-O and CA-5000-B Malfunction: Break Condition: Incomplete weld on the bottom side of the coupler Precaution: Visual inspect bottom side of coupler Safety Risk: The welds on the bottom side of the coupler could break causing possible disconnect with tow vehicle increasing the risk of a crash. Bravo Trailers will pay for inspection and replacement of any defective couplers at no cost to you. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? Please inspect the welds on the underside of the coupler. See the attached pictures. If you find the spot welds or you are not sure if you have correct welds, Please contact the Bravo Trailers Warranty department for guidance on the evaluation of your coupler. DO NOT TOW THE TRAILER. On 6/22 Bravo has located and tracked down all vin numbers that could potentially have been affected by the coupler. Bravo has not had any complaints or failures ever stated to them by any customers. The coupler manufacture was the one that notified us saying ” there could be a problem ” as of 10/22 Bravo trailers has yet to have a coupler failure come back to them or be notified that any of our customers are seeing this concern. Bravo was directed by the manufacturer of the coupler that if a coupler has a failure we will replace the coupler for the customer.
