Summary
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2025 Thor Tranquility and Sanctuary motorhomes. A 50 AMP circuit breaker was incorrectly installed when a 20 AMP breaker is required, which can result in overheated wiring.
Remedy
Dealers will install a 20 AMP circuit breaker, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 6, 2024. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-500-1020. TMC’s number for this recall is RC000305.

Chronology :
5/21/24 – During an online production audit, the use of an incorrect breaker was discovered. An investigation into the incorrect breaker was commenced.
6/4/24 – TMC’s Safety Committee meeting occurred and all agreed to file a recall. No warranty claims or customer complaints have been received.

Description of the Safety Risk : The 10 gauge wire is under protected and can overheat which can lead to an increased risk of fire and personal injury.

Description of Remedy Program : A 50 amp breaker was installed on the power sofa circuit which was
designed to use a 20 amp circuit breaker. This circuit utilizes a 10 gauge wire. A 20 amp circuit breaker will be installed at no cost to the owner. Any reimbursement will follow the general reimbursement plan that is on file with NHTSA How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component :
Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : A 20 amp breaker is installed in the power sofa circuit location of the main fuse panel.
Upon completion of the audit, engineering verified the prints were correct, and notified production of the incorrect breaker. Production began installing the correct breaker. Recall Schedule :
