Summary
Forest River Bus, LLC. (Forest River Bus) is recalling certain 2018-2024 Starcraft Allstar, Senator II, 2022-2024 Starcraft Allstar MVP, Senator II MVP, Eldorado National Advantage, 2018 Starcraft Candidate II, 2023 Starcraft Starlite, 2023-2024 Champion Challenger, Elkhart Coach ELKC, and 2019-2024 Glaval Universal transit buses. Unsecured brake lines may be damaged by contact with the frame rail.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and secure the brake lines, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 15, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Bus Customer Service Phone Number at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River Bus number for this recall is 05-1756.

Chronology :
On March 25, 2024, Forest River’s Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”) was notified by its supplier, L&W Engineering, that when stretching the chassis, P-Clamps may not have been installed to hold the brake lines in place. OCC opened a research item.
On April 1, 2024, Forest River was able to begin identifying that these chassis had been used in manufacturing.
On April 5, 2024, Forest Rivers Corporate Recall Committee voted to recall.

Description of Remedy Program : Forest River will provide all parts and labor free of charge to Consumers
and Dealers. An authorized Forest River Dealer will need to perform the remedy to secure the brake lines.

(800) 348-7440 If you have already paid for a repair that is within the scope of this defect under recall, you still need to have this recall inspected and/or performed to ensure the correct parts and procedures were utilized. Additionally, you may be eligible for a refund of previously paid repairs. Refunds will only be provided for within the scope of this defect under recall.

The Brake Lines will now be secured properly with retainer clips. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : The week of March 29, 2024, the supplier began inspecting and installing P-Clamps on any affected vehicle within the Forest River Bus holding yard. Recall Schedule :
Description of Recall Schedule : Forest River has the utmost urgency in our recalls. Forest River will send
suspected VIN numbers to our third party vendor that is licensed to pull data on the current owner of the vehicles (as needed) once a formal NHTSA I.D. is provided. Forest River intends on pushing the mailing out as soon as NHTSA provides any correction(s) and an Acknowledgement Letter.
