Chronology :
On October 24, 2023, Forest River’s Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”) was notified by the manufacturing plant that the a bleed valve installed on the LP gas tank may be leaking under certain circumstances.
On October 25, 2023, the supplier of the LP gas tanks began collecting bleed valves for testing, which need to be sent to the valve manufacturer. OCC is awaiting to find out if there is a concern.
On November 20, 2023 OCC heard from the manufacturer/distributer that the bleed valve had been installed into LPG tanks out of the specification/rating for that valve. The distributer firmly believes that Forest River caught all suspect bleed valves prior to shipping, and the distributor had changed all bleed valves.
On January 15, 2024, OCC received initial information from the manufacturer/distributer in which some LPG tanks may not have had the valve changed as indicated on November 20, 2023. OCC was provided a “Technical Service Bulletin” from the manufacturer/distributer. OCC asked the manufacturer/distributer for a list of the LPG tanks’ serial number so OCC can verify if the tanks were actually installed into vehicles.
On January 19, 2024, Forest Rivers Corporate Recall Committee voted to recall.
