The product outside of this scope are spec’d with the proper tire. A total of 57 RVs are under this recall. Production Dates : JUN 01, 2022 – DEC 13, 2022 VIN Range 1 : Begin : 7M5TV2625PA007173 End : 7M5TV2624PA007472 Not sequential Description of Defect : Description of the Defect : The tires on the coach, per the NFPA requirements is 30 lbs under the minimum requirement. FMVSS 1 : NR FMVSS 2 : NR Description of the Safety Risk : Under certain conditions during travel, an overloaded tire can fail and lead to an increased risk of vehicle crash. Description of the Cause : A breakdown in identifying proper tire size for this new travel trailer model was identified. This breakdown resulted in the wrong tire being utilized. Identification of Any Warning that can Occur : Adverse / less than ideal handling of the tow vehicle. At that point the 21T15 travel trailer was audited and the problem identified (underrated tire). Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : The remedy will be to replace the existing wheels with new wheels that are properly related. This will also require a VIN / Fed Tag update to reflect the new wheels being put on the coach. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : The remedied component is properly rated vs. the underrated wheels that were used initially. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : A new wheel has been identified and proven out as the correctly rated wheel. This wheel will now be ordered in place of the incorrect wheel and used on all production for the 21T15 Valor Travel Trailer as we move forward.
