The vehicle developed a recurring cylinder #4 misfire with a flashing check-engine light, rough running, and reduced performance. Diagnostic code P0304 repeatedly returned. Replacing the #4 spark plug temporarily restored normal operation, but the misfire returned after a few hundred miles. The #4 plug was wet/oily, and fresh oil was found pooled in the #4 intake port while the other ports were dry. All eight spark plugs, ignition coils, and plug wires were replaced, along with the #4 fuel injector and both #4 valve-stem seals, but the misfire persisted. A valvetrain/lifter tick later became audible near 3,000 RPM. The failure has now been confirmed as a valvetrain failure that severely damaged/destroyed cylinder #4 and requires complete engine replacement. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This defect creates a serious risk of severe misfire, loss of engine performance, or complete engine failure while driving.

A recall (NHTSA 22V70900)was issued Sep 22 2022 on Cadillac XT5 2020-2021. The rearview camera coaxial cable connectors may have been crimped improperly, causing the rearview camera to fail or function intermittently. This has happen to my vehicle (2020 Cadillac XT5) on several occasions. I took my vehicle to the local dealer and was told that there were no recall on my car. The top rail that holds the sliding rear window came unglued. It appears that the installer did not use primer on the plastic trim piece before applying the urethane. It is a well-known, common factory defect. This is a danger because an unsecured window can fly forward after applying the brakes or in a collision. The hood on my 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander has visibly fluttered, shaken and bounced while driving since I purchased the vehicle used on March 15, 2024, with approximately 80,000 miles. This has been an ongoing condition throughout my ownership, not a single isolated incident. The movement is especially noticeable at highway speeds and can be clearly seen from inside the vehicle while driving. I am concerned that the amount of hood movement could present a safety risk while the vehicle is being operated. I contacted a Mitsubishi dealership regarding the hood flutter and was told they were not aware of this issue. The condition has not been repaired or corrected. Mitsubishi has issued multiple technical service bulletins addressing hood flutter on the 2022 Outlander. Mitsubishi technical information describes hood flutter and bouncing while driving and includes repair procedures intended to address the condition. More recent Mitsubishi technical information also addresses insufficient hood reinforcement on certain 2022 Outlanders and the use of a reinforced hood. There have been no warning lights associated with the condition and no crash, fire or injury. The vehicle is available for inspection. I have video documentation clearly showing the hood visibly fluttering and bouncing while the vehicle is being driven.
