THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE DRIVER MADE A RIGHT TURN INTO A SHOPPING CENTER, THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY STALLED. THE DRIVER WAS ASSISTED TO MOVE THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE ROADWAY. THE DRIVER DROVE THE VEHICLE TO HOME HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE STALLED FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BERGERON AUTOMOTIVE DEALER (3525 VETERANS MEMORIAL BOULEVARD, METAIRIE, LA 70002, (504-888-2132). THE DEALER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE ENGINE. THE DEALER ADDED ENGINE OIL TO THE ENGINE, AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK FOR INSPECTION EVERY THOUSAND MILES TO HAVE THE ENGINE OIL CHECKED AND A NEW OIL FILTER INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,612.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15E045000 (SUSPENSION) WAS REPLACED APPROXIMATELY 1 YEAR AGO, AFTER THE WHEEL COLLAPSED ON FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE.
