Rear tires on my 2024 Kia
EV6 wore down to the tire wear-bar limit (2/32" remaining tread) at approximately 19,500 miles, while the front tires on the same vehicle measured roughly double that remaining tread (4/32") at the same odometer reading. The factory-installed tires are rated by the manufacturer for approximately 50,000 miles of tread life under normal use, so reaching the wear-out point on the rear tires alone at roughly 39% of that rated mileage is well outside expected wear for this vehicle at this mileage. This is not an isolated event: numerous other EV6 owners have independently reported the same front-to-rear wear disparity and premature rear tire wear online, across different driving styles and regions, which points to a vehicle characteristic (front/rear torque split, alignment or camber specification, or suspension geometry) rather than individual driver behavior. Uneven, accelerated rear tire wear reduces traction and increases stopping distance, and raises the risk of hydroplaning, tread separation, or blowout, particularly in wet weather, since the rear tires lose effective grip well before the front tires or before a typical maintenance interval would flag it. The wear was confirmed and documented, including tread-depth measurements at all four corners, by an independent third-party vehicle condition inspection performed at lease return. There were no dashboard warning lights or driver-facing alerts indicating the wear; it was only discovered through physical tread-depth measurement at that inspection. The tires inspection results are available upon request. This appears to reflect a design or specification issue affecting the vehicle's rear tires disproportionately, rather than a manufacturing defect isolated to one tire.

Summary
The primary failure is in the Engine/Powertrain system and Knock Sensor Detection System (KSDS), causing 6 identical sudden engine stalls (OBD-II code P1326) from 09/2000 to 06/2026. Additionally, severe excessive oil consumption was documented during 2 of these diagnostic visits, showing deep-seated engine issues. The vehicle and all records are available for inspection at the Hyundai
dealer. Safety was severely threatened on 6 occasions. The vehicle abruptly stalled at 60+ mph in active highway traffic, forcing an immediate engine shutdown. This left me with highly impaired steering and braking control in fast-moving traffic, creating an imminent risk of high-speed rear-end collisions and jeopardizing my life and others. The primary stalling defect and P1326 code were confirmed 6 separate times by the authorized Hyundai
dealership. The secondary excessive oil consumption issue was also formally confirmed by the dealer during 2 of those visits. Despite multiple dealership-confirmed diagnoses, no permanent repair has been achieved. The vehicle has been inspected during all 6 visits by dealership technicians. For the current (6th) visit, the dealer could not resolve the recurring defect and formally contacted Hyundai
Corporate Technical Support for expert analysis, which is currently ongoing. Except for the first visit, the pattern is identical: the car stalls, the dealer clears codes/replaces KSDS, and it stalls again within 3 weeks. Notably, during the 4th visit, they replaced the Intake Manifold. Now, on this 6th visit, they demand I pay to replace that same part again. This proves they cannot diagnose the root engine failure and are only applying useless, temporary fixes. Prior to all 6 stalls, the flashing Check Engine / Hybrid
Warning light triggered on the dashboard. This critical KSDS alert was followed within seconds by a total loss of motive power. Also, a history of rapid engine oil depletion and low-oil alerts was documented in 2 of the diagnostics.

Following a software update by Ford
in the past 6-8 months, upon start-up my vehicle asks me which drive mode I wish to be in but then after 15-45 seconds "forgets" my answer and changes drive modes. This results in regenerative braking being disabled, at random, in the middle of a drive. This is a major safety issue, as I will expect braking to applying while easing up on the accelerator but that simply doesn't happen. This could cause an accident, injury or worse.
