Towing Coupler Underrated For Vehicle Weight
An underrated towing coupler can break, allowing the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
Oliver Travel Trailers, INC. (OTT) is recalling certain 2009-2024 Elite II trailers. The towing coupler may be under rated for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the trailer.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the towing coupler, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 17, 2024. Owners may contact OTT customer service at 1-888-526-3978.

3/16/24 Owner noticed the coupler was stamped 5,000 LBS was supposed to be 7,000 LBS per trailer model.
4/22/24 2nd event during yearly service found by Oliver a 5,000 LB coupler was installed on the unit.

3/16/24 Owner noticed the coupler was stamped 5,000 LBS was supposed to be 7,000 LBS per trailer model. 4/22/24 2nd event during yearly service found by Oliver a 5,000 LB coupler was installed on the unit. Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Oliver Travel Trailer will notify dealerships of the recall and owners may
have the coupler corrected by replacement of a 7,000 LB Bulldog coupler rated for the vehicle weight at a Oliver dealership or Oliver Travel Trailer Service. Oliver Travel Trailers covers cost for the remedy repair. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : Remedy coupler 7000 LB emboss stamped present.
