Block any tires/wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling. Failure to do so may result in electrocution, fire or other personal injury, property damage and/or death. CERTAIN 2024 HARDSIDE: HRHS-690, HRHS-750, HRHS-8801, HRHS-2901, HRHS-2910 & HRHS-2912 CERTAIN 2024 SOFTSIDE: SZSS-500, SZSS-550, SZSS-1240 & SZSS-1251 STEP 1: ACCESS THE 7-WAY BARGMEN PLUG WIRING; • THIS WILL BE LOCATED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT WALL ON ALL TRUCK CAMPER MODELS; • ACCESS WILL NEED TO BE GAINED THROUGH USE OF REMOVING AN ACCESS PANEL(S)/DOOR/FALSE PANEL; STEP 2: LOCATE THE BLACK 7-WAY BARGMEN WIRE THAT IS CONNECTED TO A RED WIRE WITH A WAGO CONNECTOR STEP 3: REMOVE THE WAGO CONNECTOR AND DISCARD; • INSTALL AND CRIMP A BELL CAP ONTO THE RED WIRE • INSTALL AND CRIMP A BELL CAP ONTO THE BLACK WIRE • ENSURE BOTH BELL CAPS ARE INSTALLED SECURELY STEP 4: CLEAN AREA(S); STEP 5: REINSTALL THE ACCESS PANEL(S)/DOOR/FALSE PANEL – IF ANY REMOVED; STEP 6: CLAIM REPAIR CODE.

Part 573 Safety Recall Report 23V-638 Page 2 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573 FMVSS 1 : NR FMVSS 2 : NR Description of the Safety Risk : A direct feed without a battery management system (“BMS”) may allow over charging of the battery(s). This condition may result in an electrical fire, causing property damage or personal injury. Description of the Cause : Manufacturing had been used to routing charge line wiring for wet cell batteries in all truck campers. When manufacturing switched to installing lithium batteries, a 12V DC charge line was not needed anymore, and it was not communicated clearly to the electrician. OCC opened a research item. On September 13, 2023, OCC was able to determine the concern further with the manufacturing plant and identify the vehicles involved. On September 15, 2023, Forest River’s Corporate Recall Committee voted to recall. All Vehicles are located at Dealers, there will not be an Owner Notification for this recall. An authorized Forest River Dealer or Service Center will need to perform the remedy. The charge line will be disconnected and bell caps will be installed.
