Generator Set Fuel Hose May Cause Gas Leak
A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Summary
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2021 Scope motorhomes, equipped with certain Cummins Onan QG 2800i generator sets. The fuel hose between the inline fuel filter and the injection pump module (IPM) may have inadequate clamp force, possibly resulting in a gasoline leak.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel hose and clamps, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 21, 2023. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC’s number for this recall is RC000294.

Chronology :
4/13/2023 – TMC was notified through email of Cummins equipment recall 23E-030 and provided a set of generator serial numbers (GSNs) for units involved.
4/14/2023 – Thor’s IT department cross-referenced GSNs to VINs to identify population.
4/21/2023 – TMC’s safety committee met and voted to issue a recall based on the information provided by Cummins. Population is still being determined by IT department and the 573 will be updated once this information has been determined.
4/28/2023 – IT provided population scope and amendments have been made to include all models involved as well as file with TC for Canadian units involved.
