SAFETY RECALL ACTION NOTICE 606 – BONNEVILLE T120 / T120 BLACK
Triumph Motorcycles has initiated a voluntary safety recall affecting a specific VIN range of the below-referenced model. We require your immediate attention to rectify the above machines.
Affected Models Model Code Model Model Year DU4 Bonneville T120 2022 – 2023 DT4 Bonneville T120 Black 2022 – 2023 VIN RANGE: BD2179 to BK4496
(All Markets)
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
The improper securing of the left-hand brake disc may lead to its detachment from the front wheel assembly. The disc will be retained by the calliper body. This can cause a distraction and reduced braking performance, increasing the risk of an injury.
Affected motorcycles are supplied with two front brake discs. The right-hand front brake disc is not affected by this defect. WHAT WILL TRIUMPH DO? To address this condition, Triumph is launching a new recall as described in the above Safety Recall Action Notice. All arrangements for updating of our computer systems have been completed.
Notification letters to current customers will be mailed on or shortly after 17 March 2023, explaining the action and advising them to return their bike to a Triumph dealer to have the modification carried out free of charge.
The bulletin instructs that affected VINS will require a replacement left hand damper installed. 3/16/23, 9:36 AM TriumphOnline | Notice

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
All affected motorcycles are to be repaired in accordance with the above Safety Recall Action Notice available on TriumphOnline.net (TOL) HERE and attached. It is imperative that any owner who has purchased an affected machine be contacted by you immediately and asked to return the machine for modification. Triumph Dealers should take the following actions: 1. Quarantine all unsold motorcycle stock (including motorcycle stock for sale on your website and with 3rd parties) and make arrangements to repair as per the above Safety Recall Action Notice prior to any further deliveries to customers.
2. Owners of machines outside of the affected VIN range are not connected with this action and may therefore require reassurance. 3. Using your own records please contact affected customers to arrange repairs at the earliest convenient opportunity. 4. This action is likely to increase visitor traffic to your showroom and service areas. Please ensure all arrangements are made to best accommodate them. FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS THE DELIVERY OF A RECALLED MOTORCYCLE UNDER A SALE OR LEASE UNTIL THE REMEDY HAS BEEN PERFORMED. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, but we are taking this action in the interest of our customers’ personal safety and satisfaction with our products. We thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation. If you have any additional questions, please contact Triumph Customer Support at (888) 284-6288.
