Manufacturer Bwise Manufacturing
Components EQUIPMENT
Potential Number of Units Affected 76
Summary
Bwise Manufacturing (Bwise) is recalling certain 2021-2023 EA10-10 and EA10-12 All Access trailers. The GAWR of the trailer was incorrectly labeled at 4,995 lbs. and should be labeled 6,000lbs. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part number 567, “Certification.”
Remedy
Dealers will mail new labels and instructions on how to replace it, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 6, 2022. Owners may contact Bwise’s customer service at 1-717-261-0922.
Notes
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Chronology :
Incorrect data entry caused a misprint on the VIN labels. The error was discovered during a routine audit on June 30, 2022 and corrected. There is only one dealer who received all 76 units that were affected. They were contacted immediately by telephone and provided replacement labels for the 18 trailers still in their possession. After review and consideration of the accuracy of the labels, it was determined that a recall would be the most prudent course of action to get all incorrect labels replaced for the customers. There have been no reported warranty claims or customer complaints related to the misprinted labels.
