Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain
Issue subject vehicles, the TIREFIT sealant bottle may not meet specifications. The possibility exists that the
sealant bottle may leak or may have otherwise been removed from the vehicle.
Remedy

MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the
TIREFIT bottle in the trunk.

Launch Date Affected VINs will be flagged as “OPEN” in VMI on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Warranty Claim Notice

Please note the campaign will close after the warranty claim has been submitted. This change can
take at least one-day to reflect in NetStar VMI.

Check the Vehicle Master Inquiry (VMI) to verify this campaign applies to the specific vehicle.
1. Always check for other open campaigns and perform them accordingly!
2. Review the entire campaign bulletin first, and perform the procedures exactly as described.
California registered vehicles require a Proof of Correction Label and Certificate, according to California Code
Regulation Title 13, § 2117 – Proof of Correction Certificate.
Non-California dealers may perform the remedy on California registered vehicles, however, please direct
those customers to visit their preferred California dealership to receive the Proof of Correction Label and the
Certificate after the recall has been completed.

Check/Test Procedure
1. Check manufacturer of tire sealant bottle.
In the case of tire sealant bottles from “Aircom” (Figure 1), the expiration date (Figure 2) must be checked.
If the expiration date is “2029-01,” “2029-12,” “2030-01,” or “2030-02,” the tire sealant bottle must be replaced.

- No further action required, end measure.
b. Tire sealant bottle is from "Aircom" with expiration date “2029-01,” “2029-12,” “2030-01” or “2030-02”:

Work Procedure
1. Remove TIREFIT tire sealant bottle from vehicle.
For basic data, see AP40.10-P-4054R.
2. Clean contaminated surfaces and objects so they are free of residue.
Replace any components that cannot be cleaned.
Capture pictures of components that cannot be cleaned and submit with warranty claim.
3. Insert new TIREFIT tire sealant bottle in vehicle holder.
