Service

Create a TAC ticket or TAC Web ticket query and identify it as “Reporting obligation according to the Technical
Service Handbook”.

Read out the historical data (HDM) of the 12V battery and the high voltage battery and then attach the data to the
case.
Ask the customer about the circumstances under which the complaint occurred and provide the information in the
TAC case.

1. How often do you use the vehicle? (e.g. x days per week)

2. Was the vehicle stationary for longer periods recently?

3. How far do you usually drive?

4. Were you powering other devices via the vehicle battery (e.g. cool box)?

5. How old is the 12V battery?

6. Was the vehicle on but not being driven (e.g. radio on, or air conditioning on?)

7. What mode was the vehicle operated in (EV, Hybrid, Combustion)?

8. Was additional equipment fitted to the vehicle (e.g. emergency devices, trackers)?

9. How often do you charge the high-voltage battery externally?

10. When was the last time the high-voltage battery was fully charged (to 100%) before the problem occurred?
11. What was the battery's charge level the last time the vehicle was switched off?

12. How long was the vehicle parked for most recently?

13. Has the vehicle been used in any particular way which differs from normal usage behavior and which could

have led to increased power consumption?

14. Was there anything unusual before the issue occurred (e.g. active warnings in the instrument cluster)?

observed. We apologize for any inconvenience caused if delays in processing occur as a result.

Complaints already covered by a TSB are exempt from this reporting obligation.
