TWISTED SEAT BELT REPLACEMENT
(WARRANTY EXTENSION TXX1)

SUBJECT:

This TSB supersedes 24-BE-017H to add Prior Approval (PA) and torque text boxes on pages 34 and an additional warranty note regarding PA requirement if multiple seatbelts are requested
for replacement at time of visit.

NOTICE
This TSB should NOT be performed unless there is a valid concern of the seat belt twisted in one
of the vehicle's three (3) rows.
Description: Certain 2020 - 2024MY vehicles may experience seat belts that are twisted due to
excessive space in the D-ring.
Hyundai is extending warranty coverage for the seat belts under this condition to 10 years/100,000
miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use (whichever occurs first) and is valid for
original and subsequent owners.
Follow the service procedure in this TSB to visually inspect and replace seat belts that are twisted due
to excessive space in the D-ring.

• 2020–2024MY Palisade (LX2) produced from 4/10/2019–5/02/2024.

NOTE 1: If the affected parts are still under factory warranty, submit as normal warranty. If the
affected parts are out of factory warranty and within the extended warranty period, submit as a
campaign claim type using the op codes listed above.
NOTE 2: If a part that is not covered by this TSB is found in need of replacement while performing
TXX1 and the affected part is still under warranty, submit a separate claim using the same repair
order. If the affected part is out of warranty, submit a Prior Approval request for goodwill consideration
prior to performing the work.
NOTE 3: PA is required if 2 or more seatbelts are requested for replacement at time of visit. Entry of
PA # in the claim is not necessary during submission.
NOTE 4: This TSB includes taking a picture of the defective part. Op times include VIN, Mileage and
Repair validation photos as outlined in the Digital Documentation Policy.
NOTE 5: The incident parts are subject to callback through the normal Warranty Technical Center
(WTC) parts return process. Claim is subject to debit if the part is not returned.

Applying the recommended torque to all fasteners is essential to reduce potential issues from
