Description: Certain vehicles (See Applicable Vehicles List below) equipped with the 12-inch
instrument cluster display and separate Instrument Cluster Module require software verification PRIOR

Service Procedure:
Instrument Cluster Module Check
1.
Identify which Instrument Cluster Display is
equipped with the vehicle.
2.
If the vehicle is equipped with 4-inch type then
proceed with mileage writing.
If the vehicle equipped with 12-inch type then
install the new the Instrument Cluster Module
and confirm if the software matches the ROM
ID table as shown above (or newer) before
performing the mileage writing.
NOTICE
If the Instrument Cluster Module requires a
replacement, then perform the VARIANT
CODING BEFORE attempting to perform
the mileage writing. Failure to do so may
damage the module.

Select CLU then select the applicable size.

confirm the part number on the next
screen for proper verification.

the default selection.

The part number and software version
will be displayed after the Vehicle Part
Number (CLU).
Compare this software version to the table
from above.
NOTICE
If the software does NOT match the
version in the table and the date is older,
then RETURN the part as DEFECTIVE.
Order a replacement part.

After confirming the S/W version (same or
newer), proceed with Odometer Mileage
Writing Function by following the GDS
instructions.
NOTICE
Ensure to perform the VARIANT CODING
BEFORE writing the mileage. Failure to do
so may damage the module.
NOTICE
After completing the function in GDS, verify
the VEHICLE DISPLAY SCREEN to
confirm the correct mileage.
The GDS tablet may NOT display the
correct mileage.
10.
Confirm the correct mileage is displayed on
the instrument cluster.
11.
The service procedure is now complete.
