* Yellow warning lamp in instrument cluster.
* The vehicle can no longer be started.
Workshop findings:

U041300 Stored in Diagnostic address 0001 and/or 0051:

The following DTC(s) is/are stored engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001): and/or in the Electric
Drive control unit J841 (address word 0051):

* DTC U041300 Invalid Data Received from Battery Energy Control Module “B” with symptom code 23085.
The customer statement can be reproduced.

The switching unit for high-voltage battery SX6 has the software version 106/206.

The software version can be checked as follows:

Guided functions in ODIS >> Diagnostic address 008C >> Guided Function >>” Read identification”">> Read
additional identification data >> read and display data of sub-systems (slaves). The result of the identification is
shown in the diagnostic log.

P0A9500 or POE2E00 in diagnostic address 008C:
The following DTC(s) is/are stored in the hybrid battery management contro! module, J840 (address word 008C)

+ DTC P0A9500: High Voltage Fuse (symptom 28730) passive/intermittent
Or
* DTC POE2E00: Battery Charger “A” Fuse (symptom 28733) passive/intermittent

The customer statement can be reproduced, and the faults listed above are set in the 008C.
According to Guided Fault finding the switching unit for the high-voltage battery (SX6) should be replaced.

However, replacing the part will not solve the problem.

P0B1300 in diagnostic address 008C:
The following DTC(s) is/are stored in the hybrid battery management control module, J840 (address word 008C)
* DTC P0B1300: Hybrid Battery Pack Current Sensor “A/B” Correlation (symptom 14348)

The customer statement can be reproduced, and the faults listed above are set in the 008C
According to Guided Fault finding the switching unit for the high-voltage battery (SX6) should be replaced.

However, replacing the part will not solve the problem.

POACO0 in diagnostic address 008C:

The following DTC(s) is/are stored in the hybrid battery management control module, J840 (address word 008C)
+ DTC POACOO: Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Current Sensor “A” Circuit Range/Performance (symptom 14340)

+ In some cases, POA7E00: Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Over Temperature (symptom 28706) may be logged.
The customer statement can be reproduced, and the faults listed above are set in the 008C

According to Guided Fault finding the switching unit for the high-voltage battery (SX6) should be replaced.

However, replacing the part will not solve the problem.

This TSB replaces Pending Service Solution (PSS) 2065722: PSS 93: DTC U041300 Battery Energy Control
Module "B" stored in ECM and/or Electric Drive Control Unit.

This TSB applies if at least one of the customer statements and one or more of the workshop findings are applicable
and the vehicle has one of the following 4 equipment versions.

When flashing with the SVM code 8CA011, please note that it is essential that the code 8CA011KONF is run
afterwards.

SVM Update Option 1 Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.

2. Update the Hybrid Battery Management control unit (J840) using the SVM action code as listed in the table
below, if necessary:

To prevent the high-voltage battery from charging during the software update, the high-voltage charging
cable on vehicles with high-voltage components must be unplugged BEFORE the SVM code is entered.
Charging the high-voltage battery during a software update can cause damage to the high-voltage
components.

For this repair option two SVM codes will need to be run, and they must be in the order provided below

1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.

2. Update the Hybrid Battery Management control unit (J840), the Battery Junction Box (SX6) and the Cell
Module Control units (CMC) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if necessary:
