Replace Electrical Fuse in Vehicle Interior

This is to notify you of the Service Campaign Launch to replace the electrical fuse on the fuse and relay module in 27 Model Year
(“MY”) 2024 GLB (247 platform) vehicles. The vehicles will be visible and flagged in VMI as “OPEN” on September 13, 2024.

Background

Issue

Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined
that on certain MY 2024 GLB (247 platform) vehicles, the fuse assignment for the
USB port in the rear passenger compartment does not correspond to current
production specifications. It is possible that a 30 A fuse was installed instead of a 10
A fuse.

What We’re Doing

MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will
replace the electrical fuse on the fuse and relay module.

Parts

The remedy is available and can be performed as necessary.

compartment does not correspond to current production specifications. It is possible that a 30-Amp fuse
was installed instead of a 10-Amp fuse. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the electrical fuse

Prior to performing this Campaign:

VMI must be checked before performing campaigns to verify that the campaign is required on a
specific vehicle. Always check for any other open campaigns and perform accordingly.

Replace Electrical Fuse in Vehicle Interior

Work Procedure
1. Move front passenger seat to rearmost position.
2. Switch off ignition, remove transmitter key from vehicle, and place key outside of transmitter range (at least 2 m).
3. Remove front door sill panel on front passenger side.
For basic information, see AR68.30-P-4101MFA.

4. Fold back the front passenger side floor covering (Figure 1, 1) until the cover (Figure 1, 2) of the fuse and relay module
in vehicle interior (Figure 2, F152/4) is accessible.

5. Remove screws (Figure 1, 3) and cover (Figure 1, 2) of fuse and relay module in vehicle interior (Figure 2, F152/4).
Installation: Tighten screws (Figure 1, 3) with a torque of 5 Nm.

6. Replace electrical fuse 118 (Figure 2, F152/4f118) for left rear USB port 1 (X39/22) and right rear USB port 2 (X39/23)
on fuse and relay module in vehicle interior (Figure 2, F152/4).
Electrical fuse 118 (Figure 2, F152/4f118) is located at slot 2 of the electric connection (Figure 2, M3D) on the fuse
and relay module in the vehicle interior (Figure 2, F152/4).
Installation: To do this, use a new 10 A electrical fuse (arrow, Figure 2) and install it in slot 2 of the electric plug
connection (Figure 2, M3D) on the fuse and relay module in the vehicle interior (Figure 2, F152/4).
Dispose of the removed electrical fuse properly.
