Mounting rear spoiler attachment

7.1

Thoroughly clean the mounting surface in
the area of the rear spoiler attachment with
isopropanol (alcohol).
The adhesive surfaces must be free from
dust, dirt and grease of any kind.

7.2

Remove protective film on rear spoiler
attachment.

7.3

Guide the rear spoiler attachment in the area
of the rear lights in the gap between the body
and standard spoiler, center it and press it on.

8.1

Mark and seal adhesive surfaces in the rear
area  14 -1- to protect the other areas
using the reinforcements  14 -2-. Then
roughen adhesive surfaces in the rear  14
-1- and on the reinforcements  14 -2- with
sandpaper (240 grit).

8.2

Thoroughly clean the adhesive surfaces
 14 -1- with isopropanol (alcohol). The
adhesive surfaces must be free from dust,
dirt and grease of any kind.

8.3

Apply the adhesive with part number
00004330538 on reinforcements  15 -1-.

8.4

Position and press on reinforcements  13
-1, 2-.
Remove excess adhesive.

8.5

Press on reinforcements using the stop buffer
when the tailgate is closed and observe the
adhesive drying time.

NOTICE
•

Only the standard rear wing setting (flat) and fully closed front diffusors are permitted for road use:



Front wing mount in direction of travel: Screw-in position for bottom bore



Rear wing mount in direction of travel: Screw-in position for top bore

Information
The fastening screws on the rear wing must be replaced after loosening. The nuts can still be
used.

damper housing  21 -1-. Push lift
unit onto the damper housing as far
as it will go (use plastic hammer).
Spring seat and lock ring remain on
the lift unit and are reused.
Do not tilt the lift unit.

Bellows must be hung into the
groove of the spring seat.

Assembling new front spring strut with front
axle lift
Only for vehicles with front axle lift system.
11.4.1

Move axial bearing  23 -1-,
spring seat  23 -2- with mounted
bellows, helper spring  23 -3-,
intermediate ring  23 -4-, coil

spring  23 -5- on spring strut 
23 -7-.
The intermediate ring must face the short side of the helper spring.

11.4.2

Install spring travel limiter  23 -8-, spacer  23 -9- and bleeder shim  23 -10on piston rod  23 -11-. The grooves in the bleeder shim must point downwards
(in the direction of the piston rod).
Use damper clamping tool (MT000284A) for spring struts with lift!

11.4.3

Slide damper housing  23 -6- onto spring strut  23 -7- and tighten with nut
23 -12-. Hold the housing under slight pressure to prevent the piston rod
from accidentally slipping out of its seat in the housing.
Medium-strength Loctite must be
used.
Tightening torque 40 Nm (29.5
ftlb.)

after installing the line adapter (angled pipe).
