SITUATION
The rear window sunblind becomes stuck when activated and might fall out of the guide rail.
Note: Please see attached video V51 01 24.

CAUSE
The side cover cap on the sunblind can unclip. As a result, the sunblind is no longer guided on the rail.

CORRECTION
Inspect the rear window sunblind and replace the cover cap.

PROCEDURE
1. Verify that the customer’s concern corresponds to the situation and cause above.
2. Replace the side cover cap (3) of the sunblind
following the repair instructions listed in ISTA/AIR 51
46 115.

Note: DO NOT replace the entire
sunblind!

3. Verify the repair once the side cover cap is replaced, by extending and retracting the sunblind a few times.

resource, start by entering the Chassis Number (the last seven (7) characters of the VIN, select the
applicable Model if two or more vehicle choices show), or enter the full VIN (17 characters), click on the
“Search” button. Next, click on the “Flat Rate Units” button and enter the flat rate labor operation code in the
field to the right, click “Search” to display the Flat Rate Unit Group detail choices.
