After further investigation the wiring harness leading to the Exhaust gas temperature sensor (Bank 1 and/or Bank 2) runs
close to the sub-frame may rub/contact the edge of the bracket inside of the wheel arch cover/liner
See the examples shown in Figure 1 (Chaffed/damaged wiring Bank 1)

In the event the symptoms are as described the operative should refer to the Measure section of this TPI

Measure
1) Check Bank 1 and Bank 2 Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor wiring harnesses for damage/chaffing
2) Referring to Rep.Gr 97 - Repair the applicable damaged wire(s)
3) Once repaired - Reposition and secure the Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor wiring harness, ensuring the harness cannot contact any
surrounding components which could result in chaffing/damage
