The Suzuki Motor USA, LLC (SMO) Service Department is announcing 2023 and 2024 model-year calibration

updates for the Suzuki ECU Programming System (SEPS). Covered 2023 models are listed on page 2 of this

bulletin and covered 2024 models will be announced in the near future. On certain models SEPS is required for

your dealership to program a blank ECU (Engine Control Unit). As noted in Tools Bulletin No. 104, SEPS must

also be used to reprogram an existing ECU with the latest calibration data. Both SEPS calibration data files,

SDS-II diagnostic system files, plus support materials are available for download from the Suzuki CONNECT

Technical Library >> Downloads section (see below).

UPDATE YOUR SDS-II SOFTWARE BEFORE YOU UPDATE THE SEPS CALIBRATION DATA:

From the Suzuki CONNECT Technical Library - Download section download the SEPS Operation Manual.

This operations manual will help you update and use SEPS.

Your SDS-II diagnostic tool and support computer must be updated to SDS-II version 26.01 software.

Follow the installation instructions in Tools Bulletin No. 122. During the software update the SDS-II tool must be

connected to your support computer through its USB cable (see below).

Before you proceed with the new calibration data installation, you may need to turn OFF your computer's anti-virus

software. After the installation is complete, you can turn your anti-virus software ON again. If you do not know

how to turn your anti-virus software ON or OFF, please contact your dealership's IT administrator.

UPDATE SEPS BY FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM TOOLS BULLETIN NO. 108

Follow the update instructions in Tools Bulletin No. 108. During the SEPS software update the SDS-II tool must

be connected to your support computer through its USB cable (see below).

HAVE THE SEPS SERIAL NUMBER READY DURING THE UPDATE:

During the update of the SEPS calibration data you will be prompted to provide the SEPS Serial number. This is

a unique number that enables your SDS-II Diagnostic Tool to download calibration data to program an applicable

ECM. As published in Tools Bulletin No. 116, the 2023 SEPS Serial Number for all Suzuki Motor USA, LLC

(SMO) dealers is:
TDCM-EHDT-JEUS-5X18
IMPORTANT: This serial number is different than the dealer-specific SDS Access Keys listed on Suzuki CONNECT. The

SEPS Serial Number is shared by all Suzuki Motor USA, LLC (SMO) dealers and will expire on or near April 30, 2024. A bulletin

announcing a new serial number will be published before the expiration date.

SPECIAL TOOL REMINDER:

Models with an ECM that can be programed or reprogrammed use the newer style, red diagnostic coupler. To use

SEPS to program an applicable model's ECM you must be able to connect the SDS-II diagnostic tool to the diagnostic

coupler with the ISO-style conversion cable that was auto-shipped to your dealership (read via link below).

This auto-ship package also included the new style mode select switch, which is used to reset the service reminder on newer generation Suzuki

models. If you cannot locate these special tools, order a replacement from the SMO Parts Department using the numbers listed below.
