Slideout comes in it and digs into the metal pan causing the slide-out to drop

SLIDEOUT ROLLER REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
These repair instructions require the removal and installation of the slide-out room assembly. If concerns with the slide-out
removal/installation process, contact the Jayco customer service department.
1.

Slide-out Removal
A. Remove/Save all Interior slide out attachments for the slide out room to use on reassembly. Attachments will
be different for each model.
B. Remove/Save all Exterior slide out attachments for the slide out room to use on reassembly. Attachments
will be different for each model.
C. Unhook any plumbing connections attached to the slide out room (if applicable).
D. Unhook any 12 VDC and 120VAC electrical connections attached to the slide out room (if applicable).
E. Support the slide out room safely with proper lifts.
F. Remove any bolts/screws that secure the slide-out room to the interior or exterior of the coach.
G. Safely remove slide-out from the coach wall opening with proper lifts.
H. Remove/save bottom slide out pan with seal (replace if damaged).
I. Remove bottom slide out corner pan with seal (replace if damaged).

Verify the thickness of the plywood
under the wood wedge. (Figure 1)
A. The plywood should be 5/8
inch thick. If not, remove
the angled wood wedge
and add a 1/8 inch panel
(6” wide by length of
plywood) as a shim.

Verify the slide-out pan is flush with
the plywood. (Figure 1) If not flush,
components should be removed to
allow adjustment in the slide-out
pan to be within 1/8 inch of flush.

Inspect the angled wedge. (Figure 2)
If large knots in the wood or voids are
present, cut out the section and
replace using provided section of
wedge.

Apply a bead of sealant in the corner of the Black 1 x 1 slide-out cover angle and install sections (determined by the
slide-out room length). The angle should overlap both the plywood and the slide-out pan. (Figure 3)
A. The Black 1 x 1 slide-out cover angle should overlap each other by a minimum of 1 inch.
i. NOTE: Slide-out cover angles are used on all models. The quantity will change based on the length of
slide-out.

Install sections (determined by the slide-out room length) of the subfloor slide-out cover. The cover should overlap
the Black 1 x 1 slide-out cover angle. (Figure 3)
A. The subfloor slide-out cover should overlap each other by a minimum of 1 inch.
B. When fastening the top of the subfloor cover, it is critical that the roller can roll over top of the screw heads
without making contact.

7.

On the bottom of the slide-out floor, mark the current location of the roller with a pencil and remove the installed
rollers. (Figure 4)

8.

Route the bottom of the floor 1/8” deep to recess the roller at each roller location. (Figure 5)

9.

Install new rollers into the recessed locations. (Figure 5)
A. NOTE: Rollers are used on all models. The quantity will change based on the length of slide-out.

10. Slide-out Installation
A. Install slide-out into the coach opening.
B. Install any bolts / screws that secure the slide-out room to the coach.
C. Hook any 12 VDC and 120VAC electrical connections attached to the slide out room.
D. Install all Interior slide out trims and attachments that are attached to the slide out room.
E. Install all Exterior Slide out trims and attachments that are attached to the slide out room.
F. Install all front ODS decals.
G. Seal all exterior trims and moldings as originally designed.
