Instructions
INSTRUCTION
These instructions are to aid in the wiring harness
inspection and installation of the X4 7300 and 7500
wiring harness support rod. Inspection and rework
should be performed as soon as possible on all units with
serial numbers in the ranges identified in Service
Bulletin SER15-030.
CAUTION: Before performing any work, ensure the
unit start-run off switch SROS is in the OFF position,
the negative battery cable is disconnected, and any
external shore power is removed. Proper lockout /
tag out procedures MUST be followed.
6. If any of the wires have copper conductors visible
and are intact, remove the textile tape for access
and use Liquid Tape to cover exposed conductor,
then skip to step #8.
7. If any of the copper conductors are more than half
worn, cut the wire at the damage, strip, and repair
using a butt splice and glue lined heat shrink.
8. Using textile tape (CTD 02-00137-00); wrap the
exposed section of the harness.
9. Position the support rod on the harness using 2 tywraps in the center and one at each end securing it
to the ty-wrap base.
1. Remove the bottom panel.
2. Cut the 2 center ty-wrap securing the wiring
harness to the frame under the unit.
3. Inspect wire harness for damage from the bottom
panel rubbing.
NOTE: Take photo of damage before repairing for
warranty claim.
4. If the tape is not abraded to the point that wires
can be seen, skip to step #9.
5. If there is abrasion to the tape or wiring insulation,
but the wire insulation is not compromised (no
copper showing), skip to step #8.

NOTE: Be sure to center the support rod on the
harness between the inner ty-wrap bases. The support
rod should extend equal distance on both sides of the
ty-wrap bases (the support rod shown in the picture
above is gray in color for picture visibility only. The
actual support rod will be black in color).
10. Reinstall the bottom panel and torque hardware to
96 in-lbs.
11. Re-connect the negative battery cable
12. Turn SROS on and check for proper operation of
unit.
