* Only one decal is required.

INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: Before performing any work, ensure the
unit start-run off switch SROS is in the OFF position,
the negative battery cable is disconnected, and any
external shore power is removed. Proper lockout /
tag out procedures MUST be followed.
Defrost Damper Motor Removal
1. Disconnect electrical connection to motor and cut tywrap that secures harness to pod.
2. Loosen the four 1/4”-20 nuts that secure the motor to
the motor bracket.
3. Remove the clamps that secure the bellows to the
motor and pod.

Motor Installation
1. Place bellows onto pod and secure with clamp
(1-3/8”) as required.
2. Push bellows toward pod to access Pivot Pin (Motor
End).
3. Using a ¾” open end wrench, rotate pivot pin
towards the front of unit to open the damper blade
and hold.
NOTE: The Damper Blade Motor MUST have the key
located on the shaft to engage Pivot Pin.

NOTE: The bellows ends are of different Inside
Dimension (I.D.), the smaller end attaches to the pod.

4. Position Damper Blade Motor so the harness points
downward and the motor aligns with the 4 threaded
studs on the mounting bracket and the keyway in the
pivot pin.

4. Slide bellows toward pod and loosen 5/32” allen set
screw that secures the Pivot Pin (Motor End) to the
damper motor shaft.

5. Slide Damper Blade Motor into position and secure
motor to bracket using four (4) 1/4” nuts previously
removed. Torque nuts to 6-8 ft-lbs.

5. Remove the four 1/4”-20 nuts and carefully slide
motor and shaft out of the Pivot Pin and bracket.

6. Torque the 5/32” allen set screw to 9-11 ft-lbs
7. Place Bellows onto motor and secure with clamp (13/8”) as required.

8. Connect motor connector to engine harness and
secure with ty-wrap.

13. Locate the correct decal for your model, and firmly
attach to a cleaned area of the unit frame as shown
below in Figure 1.

9. Re-connect negative battery cable.
10. Verify that correct software is installed in
microprocessor. The current version can be located
and downloaded from TransCentral® by factory
authorized dealers. As of June, 2015 the current
version is U05.10.00

Clean area, and place
Model Number decal here.

NOTE: If an incorrect version of software is installed,
the correct unit model number may not be available for
selection. If an incorrect model number is selected, the
damper motor will not operate correctly and may result
in erroneous alarms, possible damage to the damper
motor, or loss of temperature control in the refrigerated
compartment.
11. Check the Unit Model Number in the Unit Data List.
The Unit Model must be:



NDL934*AABB for X2 2100A units
NDL933*AABB for X2 2500A units

12. If the correct model number is not displayed in the
Unit Data List, go into the unit configuration menu
and select the correct model. (See the Operation and
Service Manual for your unit for further instructions
on setting configurations.)

14. Since the Model Number decal will probably cover
up most of the “Warning” decal, a new “Warning”
Decal is included. Please install it in the best place
remaining on the unit frame, or the control panel
door.
