SAFETY ALERT
PURPOSE: RECLAIMER STRIKE ALERT ALARM WILL NOT SOUND
If reclaimer is attached to a Vermeer drill that strikes an energized power line, the alarm will
not sound on the reclaimer. Touching the reclaimer or the drill may result in electric shock.
Electrocution is possible. If an electrical strike occurs and jobsite personnel do not hear the
striker alert alarm sound, electrocution could occur to uninformed jobsite personnel resulting in
death or serious injury. IK00-3337 has been created to provide an updated wire harness for
the reclaimer. This harness will allow the alarm on the reclaimer to alert nearby personnel of a
possible electrical strike. This kit must be installed as soon as possible.

WARNING!
Use the following Shutdown Procedure before attempting to
do any of the work described in this Kit.
NOTICE: For your safety and the safety of others,
use the shutdown procedure before
servicing, cleaning, or inspecting the
machine. Vary this procedure if an
emergency requires it.
Step 1: Shut off Discharge Pump (A).
Step 2: If optional Pit Pump (B) is connected, shut
off pump.
Step 3: Shut off Desilter Pump (C) and Desander
Pump (D).
Step 4: After all spoils have been discharged from
shaker screens, shut off all shakers:
Desander Shaker (E), Desilter Shaker (F)
and Primary Shakers (G).
Step 5: Shut off Agitators (H).
Step 6: Shut off Main Circuit Breaker (J).
Step 7: Close Manual Fluid Valves if necessary.
Other valves may be closed, if conditions
Such as maintenance warrant it.
Step 8: Press Genset Off Button (K).
Step 9: Wait 10 seconds, then turn off Controller Power
Switch (M).
Step 10: Disconnect battery at switch (N).

PROCEDURE :
1.
If machine is currently set up at a jobsite, remove existing harness labeled
296345165 from between drill and reclaimer. Replace it with the new harness
(Fig. 1, Ref. 1) provided with this kit.
2.
If machine is disassembled, remove existing harness labeled 296345165 from the
toolbox. Replace it with the new harness (Fig. 1, Ref. 1) provided with this kit.
3.
Discard harness labeled 296345165.
