How to prepare a shipping label for
Urgent PFU Engineering and Retailer Technical Report Material Returns
US Retailers:

For Urgent Vehicle Report Parts Returns requested by either a Volvo PFU Engineer or Volvo
Retailer Technical Support Agent, please use the new TMA FedEx PRP Ground label 7777230 for
shipments up to 150 lbs. Please reference: Service Managers Bulletin 00 - 011 Revised 07/30/20
and Parts Managers Bulletin 00 - 014 Revised 07/30/20
- If Parts are over 150 lbs. - Contact YRC FREIGHT Return Goods Management Program:
1-800-406-1696 for returns including engines, transmissions ERADs, etc. Such components
must be identified as “used auto parts.” Follow the YRC Agents instructions.
The Engineering TMA Parts Packing List and Engineering TIE Vehicle Reports are required when
returning parts requested by engineering. Please ensure all engineering returns are addressed to the
attention of the requesting Engineer.
For US Retailers, you can order the TMA supplies and labels via parts application / critical order
entry. If there are any issues with ordering or questions about the part numbers, you can contact
parts support “Orders, Backorders, tracking (option 2-Non-Technical)” via chat or email.

Following is a sample USA ONLY New FedEx shipping label Part Number for 7777230. Please fill
in as indicated by arrows.

= 50 LABELS). WE HAVE A LIMITED SUPPLY OF LABELS AND KITS SUPPLIED TO TMA BY THE
VENDOR. PLEASE DO NOT STOCK PILE MULTIPLE PACKETS OF TMA SHIPPING SUPPLIES.

Continue to use your current shipping procedures. The above FedEx PRP label 7777230 is for US
Retailers only.
Please utilize the Canadian Engineering Parts Packing List and place the TIE Vehicle Report
inside the shipment.
Using the Canadian Parts Return Shipping label below, List the vehicle Report Number and Packing
List Number. Ensure the returns are addressed to the Engineer requesting the part.

Following is a sample Canadian shipping label. Please fill in as indicated by arrows.

WARRANTY CLAIM SUBMISSIONS FOR US AND CANADIAN RETAILERS:
The following procedures are for warranty claim reimbursement in the event that a component has been
requested by TMA AFTER being returned for engineering analysis.
• Generate the “Parts Return Claim Copy” for the warranty claim and if applicable, a TMA Warranty
Core Report
• Parts Return Claim Copies can be found in Retailer Reports application within the Volvo Cars Portal
• Generate a normal TMA electronic packing slip for the warranty claim. Please indicate the
engineering packing list that the component was returned on as well as the date of return.
• Submit these documents in a separate single polybag to be included with your routine warranty parts
return, or you may mail these documents directly to the TMA department.

Additionally you may contact TMA at [email protected] to provide the following
information:
• Engineering packing list that the component was returned on as well as the date of return.
• Tracking number associated with the engineering return
• An electronic copy of the “Parts Return Claim Copy” for the warranty claim and if applicable,
the TMA Warranty Core Report
This procedure allows for proper reimbursement for your warranty claims and core returns. If the parts
return claim copy is not submitted to the TMA department the claim will automatically be debited for
non-return of parts after 30 days. You will then be required to file a TMA Electronic Appeal for claim
reimbursement.
