CHECK CONTROL MESSAGE (CCM) DRIVING COMFORT

SITUATION
•

Chassis stabilization warning and CCM Driving comfort restricted
Vertical Dynamics Platform (VDP) fault code for ride height sensor implausible value.

Any of the following fault codes may be logged, depending on the respective wheel ride height sensor0x030C5A, 0x030C5B, 0x030C5C, 0x030C5D

CAUSE
The ride height sensor linkage became
disconnected.

CORRECTION

Reconnect the ride height sensor linkage, and
secure with a wire tie through the center hole
of the sensor arm.

Note: Recommended wire tie size is
105mm x 3mm. Do not use a larger size
because it may not stay secured around the
linkage end.

PROCEDURE
Perform vehicle test.
If there is a fault code in the VDP Module for ride height sensor implausible value, inspect the
corresponding ride height sensor linkage for proper connection.
Reconnect the sensor linkage and secure it with a wire tie through center hole of sensor arm.

Work time to inspect and reconnect the sensor linkage
and secure it with a wire tie through center hole of
sensor arm

If you are using a Main labor code for another repair, use the Plus code labor operation 00 00 556
instead of 00 00 006.
Refer to AIR for the corresponding flat rate unit (FRU) allowances.
Work time labor operation code 37 99 000 is not considered a Main labor operation. Also, since the
work time FRU allowance to be claimed is specified, a separate punch time is not required. However,
it still requires an explanation on the repair order and in the claim comments section.
Other Repairs
If other eligible and covered work (including diagnosis) was performed to repair a different issue
because the sensor linkage was not disconnected, claim this work with the applicable defect code and
the labor operations (including diagnosis) that are listed in AIR.
