Note: The cylinder compression test should be performed after the engine has reached operating temperature.
When performing this test, count the rotations of the engine crankshaft and apply the same rotations to each
additional cylinder of the compression test. The industry standard is four (4) rotations per cylinder.

When comparing the values of all cylinders, the compression results should not vary by more than 2.5 bar or
36.25 PSI. If the difference is greater than 2.5 bar or 36.25 PSI, then the complete engine will need to be replaced.
