Condition

Some customers may comment on one or more of the following conditions:
• The front door glass does not move up or down and/or is inoperative.
• The front door glass moves in an uneven or jerky motion.
Some technicians may find one or more of the following codes:
• U1534: K9 Body Control Module Lost Communication with M74D Window Motor Driver on LIN Bus
• U1538: K9 Body Control Module Lost Communication with S79D Window Switch Driver / S146 Window/Outside Rearview Mirror Switch - Driver on LIN Bus
• U153A: K9 Body Control Module Lost Communication with S79P Window Switch Passenger on LIN Bus

Cause

This condition may be caused by water intrusion into the door harness.

Correction

Inspect the X500 Driver Door Harness to Body Harness connector (refer to Document ID
4485923) and M74D window motor driver connector (refer to Document ID 4487152) for
water intrusion and/or corrosion:
• If water or corrosion is found, replace the window motor and door harness.
• If no water or corrosion is found, refer to SI for diagnosis.
