DESCRIPTION
This document will guide the user through the installation process of a chassis harness overlay on a 2013 or later model Prostar
with N13 engines. This can be performed once a wiring issue has been diagnosed with no obvious signs of where the
short/open is at within the chassis harness.

2. Remove the Air Cleaner, Dog House, and the passenger side step/skirt if needed
3. Wrap the overlay harness with the conduit called out in the parts section. Use electrical tape to seal off the ends
4. Route the overlay harness along the chassis harness from the ecm back to the aftertreatment connector and up to the 42 way
connector and over to the under hood PDM connector. Make sure it is not rubbing on any sharp edges or getting pinched by
anything. Do NOT zip tie yet as adjustments may be needed.
5. Disconnecct the 20 way aftertreatment Harness connector and 2 pin 690 connector (DEF Harness Pwr and Gnd) next to it.
Pull them up into the cab so you can work on the connectors.
Make the following changes:
a. Move pin #2 from the old 690 connector and install into cavity #2 of the new 690 connector.
b. Move pin #10 from the old Aftertreatment Harness connector and install into cavity #10 on the new Aftertreatment Harness
Connector.
c. Move pin #16 from the old Aftertreatment Harness connector and install into cavity #16 on the new Aftertreatment Harness
Connector.
d. Move pin #17 from the old Aftertreatment Harness connector and install into cavity #17 on the new Aftertreatment Harness

6. Moving forward plug in the overlay Lambda, Nox In, and HCI connectors at the back of the engine.
a. Nox In Connector Pin #4 will need to be moved from the old connector over to the new overlay connector.

7. Plug in the AFT FP 1, AFT shut off valve and AFT purge air valve all located on LHS of the engine.
8. Wire the overlay harness loose pins into the proper connectors as listed below.

9. Zip tie the overlay harness to the original chassis harness making sure there are no sharp edges that will cut into the
harnesses. Also the old chassis harness connectors no longer being used should be secured down with zip ties so they do not
rub on anything.
