Issue:
Intermittent lock-up of the Seat Belt Minder system module will cause the system to activate the
buzzer continuously.
Action:
A new version of the SBM firmware has been released to resolve this issue. The solution is to replace the current SBM module (mounted within 18 inches of the OBD II connector) with a new
module containing the updated firmware (see below). This process should take less than 10
minutes to complete. No other component replacement or alterations are required.

1. Locate the vehicle OBDII Data Link Connector, mounted below the lower left
dash panel.
2. The SBM module will be located within 18” of the ODBII.
3. Unplug the 4 pin and 8 pin white connectors from module.
4. Remove module from mounting location.
5. Plug the 4 and 8 pin connectors into the new module.
6. Mount new module in previous module location.
7. Reinstall any removed panels.
Return take-off module to InterMotive within 24 hours of removal.
