Motorcycle ergonomics
Multistrada 1200 Enduro Model Year 2016 can be customized with 2 different ergonomic
configurations for Off-Road and On-Road riding by changing the handlebar and rear brake pedal
heights.
 Handlebar tilt adjustment
There are 2 possible configurations for handlebar tilt: On-road riding (rearward handlebar) and Offroad riding (forward handlebar).
The bike is delivered in the On-road riding configuration (rearward handlebar).
To rotate the handlebar, you should turn the handlebar with respect to the retaining U-bolt and
simultaneously reposition the clutch master cylinder and front brake master cylinder controls.

Rear brake pedal adjustment
Multistrada 1200 Enduro allows 2 possible configurations of the rear brake pedal:
ON-ROAD configuration

OFF-ROAD configuration

To adjust the rear brake pedal follow the procedure below:
1) Pull footpeg (1) outwards and turn it 180°.
2) Release the footpeg making sure that bracket (2) is correctly fitted into its seat (3) on the rear
brake lever.

Useful information to Customer when delivering bike
Before delivering the bike to the Customer, you need to check all the steps in the "Check List for bike
delivery to Customer" attached to Service Bulletin 931-SAT "Introducing Multistrada 1200 Model Year
2015”.

VHC - Vehicle Hold Control
The VHC is a rider assist system for moving off from a standstill condition. During delivery to
Customer, it is important to show the characteristics of this new feature.
To activate the VHC feature, strongly press the front brake lever or rear brake pedal under the
following conditions:

vehicle stopped;

side stand up;

ABS system active on any level and without faults;
The correct activation of the system is shown by the relevant light on instrument panel starting to
flash when the system is going to release the rear brake calliper thus ceasing to hold the vehicle
still: the decrease in pressure will be gradual.

The system turns off automatically after 9 seconds if not used.

Trip meter (TRIP MASTER)
The Trip Master (trip meter) counts and displays partial kilometres or miles travelled by the vehicle; the
count can be increased and reset and can also be paused or "reversed" (thus decreasing the count).
The Trip Master (trip meter) is only displayed in Off-Road mode.
The instrument panel displays the number with the words TRIP MASTER and an arrow pointing up
(when the count is increased) or facing down (when the count is decreased).

You can press button (1) and button (2) to control the Trip Master feature:
1) by pressing button (1):
 if the number is increasing, the count is stopped (PAUSE) and the number will flash; the count
is resumed by pressing button (1) again;
 if the number is decreasing, the count changes and the number increases.
2) by pressing button (2):
 if the number is increasing, the count changes and the number decreases;
 if the number is decreasing, the count is stopped (PAUSE) and the number will flash; the
count is resumed by pressing button (2) again.
Show the Customer the correct side panniers and top case assembly/disassembly procedure
and the opening and closing system (if any)
For the procedure regarding proper fitting and removal of side panniers and Top case (available as
Ducati Performance accessories by Touratech) and opening and closing system, please read the
instructions in the Owner's manual, included in the Kit supplied together with the bike or that can be
downloaded from Ducati.com website under section Dealers/Service/Maintenance.
