Welcome to the new ElsaWeb Newsletter
September 10, 2012

Picture of the Week
This newsletter will be a weekly email written for technicians to update you

on all things new in ElsaWeb. The newsletter will be sent out at the

beginning of the week to inform you of changes made to ElsaWeb in the

previous week. It will include sections for ElsaWeb related news, a

summary of feedback status and feedback updates, highlights/tips from the

previous weeks’ changes and summary tables of the information that has

changed in the past week, this may include technical bulletins, tech tips,

campaigns, updates, wiring diagrams, repair manuals, & labor operations.

We from the Service Information team hope that you find this information

useful and valuable.
Feedback Corner
In the Feedback Corner, each week will have a weekly status of open

ElsaWeb feedback and a highlighted feedback. The feedback of the

week is from David, regarding a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle (1C1). He says:
“The description for knock sensor #1 and #2 are backwards.

Knock sensor #1 is actually a gray connector and #2 is Green. Also the

wire colors for both sensor #1 and sensor #2 have the pin locations

switched for pins 1 and 2 of both connectors.”
This feedback was verified by the technical editors and then sent to

the factory to be fixed. The repair manual has now been updated to reflect

the change. David included his full name and email with the feedback and

will be receiving Generation VW Bucks for helping improve the quality of

the repair information.

E85 gasoline such as the following:

1. Harsh 1-3 upshift while operating in Economy (ECO) mode.
