CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: A limited number of vehicles within the listed VIN range have been manufactured out of process
and it is possible that the rear brake caliper bolts may not have been torqued to their intended design levels.
Action: Retailers are required to HOLD all affected vehicles in the above VIN range that are in their control
and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new or used vehicle sale pending completion of the rework action
detailed in this Technical Bulletin. Affected vehicles already in the hands of customers should be updated at
the next available opportunity. At the time of customer appointment, ensure that all outstanding service
campaigns for each individual vehicle are identified and allocate sufficient time and resources to complete all
campaigns.

ensure the correct parts are available and adequate workshop time is allocated for repairs to be completed at
one visit.
Warranty claims must be submitted quoting Program Code 'P029' together with the relevant Option Code from
the table. The SRO and part information listed have been included for information only. The Option Code(s)
that allows for the drive in / drive out allowance can only be claimed if the vehicle is brought back into the
workshop for this action alone to be undertaken.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.

NOTE: Steps 1-2 -- Range Rover Evoque only.
Check that both left-rear brake caliper retaining bolts are
present.
• If missing, replace bolt(s).
• Tighten both caliper retaining bolts to 110 Nm (81 lbf ft).

2. Repeat step 1 on the right-rear brake caliper.

NOTE: Steps 3-4 -- LR2 only.
Check that both left-rear brake caliper retaining bolts are
present.
• If missing, replace bolt(s).
• Tighten both caliper retaining bolts to 110 Nm (81 lbf ft).

4. Repeat step 3 on the right-rear brake caliper.
