Technical background
In order for the Bentley Motors Techntal Servte Centre (TSC) to resotve any issues relating to the vehtles main harness or eng ine harness please
folbw the instructbns with in this TPI.
Refer to Section 1 for the main vehtle harness identifJCatbn label bcatbn
Refer to Section 2 for the engine harness identifJCatbn label bcatbn

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is only a requirement to provide photograph s of the main and engine harness label if there is an issue with both harnesses or
harness componentry .
The main harness informatbn labels on all vehtes whth are covered within this TPI are attached to the harness at the same bcatbn regardless of
model.

Due to varying mode5, engine and drrve derrvatrves the engine dentificatbn harness label bcatbn will be as detailed with in the instructbns, all images
within this TPI are for photographt purposes only the actual label informatbn and label format may differ from those shown .

The main harness label is attached to the branch offsection which connects to the left hand rear lamp (Figure 1)

Engine harness information - Continental Series and F!ving Spur

1.To gain access to the Continental Series and Fly ing Spur engine harness labels remove the plenum cover - Refer to the workshop manual Rep .Gr 87

- Penum cover to remove and fit
W12 - The engine dentification label is fitted to the branch off section within the plenum next to the 8 way electrical connection (Figure 5)

VST and W12 - To help in clarifying between the engine harness dentifcati:Jn label and any other labels within the nearby vicinity, the engine
dentifcati:Jn label has a Ben tley part number printed on it the wdth of th e label is 62 mm (Fgure 7)
IMPORTANT: For all eng ine harness issues please attach photographs of the informati:Jn shown on both sdes of t he label as shown in Fgures 7 and

B.
Depend ing on how the label is attached, label content and size numerous photographs may be req uired to ensure all of the label informati:Jn is

Engine harness information - Mulsanne
l.To gain access to the Mulsanne engine harn ess label remove the main engine cover and left hand sde cover - Refer to the workshop manual Rep .Gr
10 - Engine covers to remove and ft
- The engine harness label is attached to the earth lead branch off sectbn which connects to t he bulkhead earth studs on the left hand sde of the
bulkhead next to the engine bay fusebox (Fgure 9) due to the fitting bcatbn of t he label access is diffc u~ as the label is bcated under the engine bay

- Disconnect the two bu lkhead earth leads, ensure that when the ea rth leads are reconnected they are ftted back t o the orginal positbn
- Manoeuvre the earth leads from under t he fusebox as Fgure 10

- Manoeuvre the earth leads back under the engine bay fusebox and secure the earth leads back to the applicab le earth studs
- Ensure clear photographs of the label informa t bn is provoed within t he DISS t icket as shown in Fgure 11 and 12
