Summary
Dear Land Rover
Customer Care Team, I am writing to formally log a complaint regarding my 2023 Range Rover Sport (VIN: [XXX] and the unsatisfactory service experience I received at the Land Rover
Alexandria dealership. My vehicle currently has only 16,000 miles on the odometer. Recently, the "Brake Pad Worn" warning light appeared on the dashboard. Upon bringing the vehicle to Land Rover Alexandria for inspection, the dealership advised that both the brake pads and brake rotors require a complete replacement, refusing to cover the service under warranty or offer any Goodwill assistance. Requiring a complete brake pad and rotor replacement at just 16,000 miles on a premium, luxury SUV is entirely unacceptable and well below reasonable manufacturing and safety expectations. A failure/wear of both pads and rotors at this extremely low mileage strongly points to one of the following underlying issues: A manufacturing/part defect in the brake friction material or rotors. An electronic or mechanical system issue (such as sticking calipers, torque vectoring drag, or electronic parking brake binding) causing excessive, premature dragging and wear. When I requested that this issue be evaluated under warranty or submitted for Manufacturer Goodwill support, Land Rover
Alexandria flatly refused and insisted that I pay out-of-pocket for a full pad and rotor replacement. As a Land Rover
owner, I expect the vehicle’s components to meet premium quality and safety standards. Replacing rotors and pads at 16,000 miles is not standard "wear and tear"—it indicates a defect or system malfunction. I am requesting the following resolutions: A formal review of this case by JLR Corporate. Full or partial coverage (Goodwill assistance / Warranty claim) for the replacement of the brake pads and rotors. A thorough technical inspection by JLR to confirm there is no underlying mechanical or electronic defect causing premature brake drag on this vehicle. I request a prompt response INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AC

Summary
Began to notice a knocking noise from lower engine compartment in late May 2026. No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms. Dealer (Zimbrick Acura
, Middleton WI) confirmed on 06/30/26 that noise was coming from transmission assembly. Dealer identified that the transmission was leaking fluid from the output shaft seal, and upon disassembly identified that the interfacing splines between the transmission and the rear wheel drive power take off unit (PTU
) were failing. Dealer ultimately replaced transmission and PTU
. This is the same issue as described in a previous petition (no. 11712885) but was identified prior to complete loss of all-wheel drive.

Summary
On XXX, I delivered my 2020 Genesis
G70 3.3T AWD Prestige (64,267 miles) to Jenkins Genesis
of [XXX], for routine factory-recommended maintenance, including transmission, transfer case, front differential, rear limited-slip differential (LSD), brake fluid, and cooling system services. Before this visit, the vehicle had no history of drivetrain problems. It had recently completed an approximately 8½-hour drive from [XXX] to [XXX], followed by three weeks of normal driving, without any binding, vibration, shuddering, abnormal turning characteristics, warning lights, or drivability concerns. The dealership retained the vehicle for four days for what was represented as a one-day service. On XXX, I was told the vehicle had been road tested and was safe for release. **Immediately after taking delivery**, the vehicle developed severe drivetrain binding, violent shuddering, heavy vibration, and significant resistance during normal turns, creating an immediate safety hazard. I returned directly to the dealership. After initially stating they could not duplicate the condition, the dealership ultimately diagnosed **both rear CV half shafts as failed** and prepared an approximately $4,500 repair estimate. The dealership later performed a second rear LSD fluid service **without my knowledge or authorization** after concerns were raised about the original service. They initially offered to replace both rear CV half shafts at no cost, but later withdrew that offer and returned the vehicle to me with both rear CV half shafts still broken. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether improper drivetrain service procedures, incorrect lubricant application, inadequate post-service inspection, or another safety-related condition can cause catastrophic driveline failure immediately following routine maintenance. I am also concerned that the forces sufficient to fracture both rear CV half shafts may have damaged other AWD drivetrain INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Summary
"Sticky Steering" was fixed under a recall during a previous owner of my car. The issue has reappeared causing the steering wheel to stick when making turns or adjustments. The steering wheel often fails to retun to center on its own while driving down the road, and requires force to unstick it. This obviously creates a safety risk as the steering can be unpredictable while driving. The issue has not yet been inspected as I am waiting to find out if it will be addressed under warranty, though it is a known issue and concern with this vehicle. Not warnings or messages have appeared prior to this issue.

Summary
On 7/19/26, I was driving my 2022 Ford Bronco Wildtrak and attempting to turn left across oncoming traffic. When I pressed the accelerator to complete the turn, the vehicle hesitated and failed to accelerate as expected. An approaching vehicle had to decelerate abruptly and honk to avoid a collision. My Bronco is subject to NHTSA Recall 25V-455/Ford
Campaign 25S75 concerning loss of fuel pressure and fuel flow caused by low-pressure fuel-pump failure. I am concerned that the hesitation was related to the recalled fuel-pump condition. There were no injuries or collision, but the loss of expected acceleration created an immediate safety risk. The recall remedy is not currently available. I am requesting that NHTSA document and evaluate this incident.
