Summary
After noticing an oil leak and blue smoke in my 23 VW atlas, I took it to my local dealership in Tupelo, MS. I realized there was an open recall for the PCV Valve / Oil separator under code 10LP. However, the bad PCV valve also caused the timing chain cover to go bad. The dealership called me back and said VW would not cover this issue. I then called VW to see if they would step in and provide some sort of Goodwill and they denied me. They would not transfer me to a supervisor or provide any written approval that they denied covering the new timing chain cover... the call was super unprofessional and the failing part was a corresponding issue to the page PCV valve. I would like any assistance on getting VW to make this right for myself or others. This sounds like a very common issue!

Hi, I own a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Requesting that my vehicle VIN number be included in the active recalls associated with the 2019 Jeep Cherokee, specifically related to the Power Transfer Unit failure. The two active recalls that apply to my vehicle are: 40D and 01C. Recently, my vehicle displayed a "SVC 4WD" warning message. I took the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealership for diagnosis and paid a diagnostic fee of approximately $200. The dealership determined that the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) needs to be replaced and provided a repair estimate of approximately $3,200. After receiving the vehicle diagnosis from the dealership and reading the possible life-threatening ramifications listed in the active recalls, which are very similar, if not the same as what the dealer diagnosed in my vehicle, I decided not to drive it. That has been very distressing for me because I don't have another vehicle, I don't have the money to repair the vehicle, and the dealer refused to repair it under the recall because my VIN is not listed on the ordered recall. My understanding is that your office has the authority to issue recalls for vehicle with defects that threaten public safety, and my situation described above is certainly dangerous to myself and others. At the time the warning message was displayed on the dashboard, (early June), my vehicle odometer displayed 71,876 miles. Based on publicly available information, PTU-related failures and others have been identified in Jeep Cherokee vehicles, and the symptoms affecting my vehicle are similar to those associated with known PTU issues. The vehicle has been consistently maintained through the Jeep dealership service department at 120 W McKinley Ave, Mishawaka, Indiana, 46545, United States. Please add my VIN number to the Jeep Cherokee PTU-related active recall so that the dealer can repair my vehicle under the recall and I can drive my car again. Summary
The car showed an error message saying shift to park when trying to turn the car off. The car was in park and showed in park on the dashboard & shifter but the error message still said it wasn’t in park. While this error is showing it will not allow the car to shut off or lock doors. I have a little over 19k miles on this car and should not have this issue. After researching this has been a know issue with their vehicles for years and it still has not been addressed.

Summary
Car was totally dead even with a 68% charge. AAA came out to jump start. The next day while driving on the highway the car started to lose power. A red warning to check the electrical system came on along with "turtle mode". I was able to pull over off the highway, grateful the two small children were not with me. Car was towed to dealer who kept it for the three days. Only after repeated calling could I reach someone who said they couldn't reproduce the problem. I'm afraid to drive the car at this point as I feel it's just unsafe to do so. This seems to be an ongoing issue that Kia can't seem to fix.

Summary
My girlfriend was driving on interstate 95 to pick me up from the metro. The engine suddenly cut off in a manner that appears to have melted the wiring harness of the vehicle, risking fire. She was able to safely get to the side of the road and call a tow. After taking it to a local repair shop, they diagnosed the issue as related to the KSDS recall. We had it towed to the dealership that has also confirmed it is related to the recall. The engine is completely seized following this incident and it's worth noting that Kia is completely denying the engine repair claim as the KSDS update was not installed prior.

Summary
*The black water tank of our 2024 Forest River NoBo 20.4 was found to be leaking. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the factory installed tank heating pad applied to our black water tank suffered a severe electrical and structural malfunction. The carbon fiber heating element inside the pad was found to be bent, concentrating heat to an extreme degree. The element experienced a high-resistance thermal event, melting completely through the protective heating pad and burning a hole directly through the structural plastic of the black water tank it was applied to. * This created a severe fire hazard for two individuals who had been using the travel trailer at the time of the finding. *This issue is consistent with current NHTSA recalls on this component. RV manufacturers like Grand Design and WInnegago have already issued urgent Federal safety recalls and "Do Not Drive" advisories on vehicles equipped with ThermaHeat pads due to high resistance and severe terminal overheating. *There were no warning lamps or advisories from control panels to indicate the issue and potential danger.
