Summary
While driving on a 170 mile trip at mostly high speed, when reducing speed near destination the engine suddenly shut off while traveling at 35 mph. Dashboard lights and alarms occurred indicating engine was off. Was able to safely bring the vehicle to a stop. Was very lucky this occurred in an area where I could bring the car safely to a stop. No indication of engine trouble or any alert lights proceeded the engine shut down. Was able to restart the car and safely reach destination. Was also able to do 170 mile return trip without incident. I reported this directly to Hyundai through their app. Scheduled appointment with dealer to check the vehicle. Inspection and diagnostics at Hyundai dealer revealed nothing. This occurrence was obviously very dangerous.

customer support program ;; ZJC....Toyota has received reports about potential symptoms, such as a whine noise from the transmission while driving, harsh shifting, reduced power, , in the subject vehicles that are equipped with a model UA80 transmission. There is a possibility that a washer tab, designed to prevent the loosening of a nut inside the affected transmissions, was not sufficiently bent during assembly. This could lead to the nut loosening and, over time, lead to the symptoms described above. i.ve been having this issue with my transmission for a couple of years. my issue started ,when i first got this highlander back in 2017 .when coming to a stop ,i would get a thumping sound from tranny .i took this SUV to dealer ,twice for said tranny issue and pre collision system not functioning properly was told nothing wrong! this happened while suv was still under warranty! i eventually need to replace front windscreen : after which pre collision was functioning properly this was done by Safelite AutoGlass! a couple of months the tranny had a new issue ,tranny began to hesitate. a few months went by and then another new symptom developed ,i was getting shuttering at 1400 rpm ,which goy worst if you were at this rpm for a little while. I've been sick for a couple of years now and was not able to take to dealer to diagnose issues associated with tranny. i've kept driving my highlander with these issues ,since it started!! CUSTOMER SUPPORT PROGRAM ZJC addresses some of the issues i have with my transmission. i don't know why my transmission and vin# is not included in this program.. i'm worried if i went to doctors appt and highlander broke down ,what i'm going to do..i'm on social security disability ,i cant afford much !

XXXX purchased BFS weather peak tires from Costco Tire Center in [XXX]. Tires have 70,000 mile [XXX]. Took my Honda
Odyssey Touring into get and oil change and have the tires rotated: Honda of [XXX] stated they could not rotate the tires because it was not safe to do so. LF tire and RF tire measure at 3/32 back measure at 4/32. They said it would not be safe to rotate the tires do to the depth of the tread on the front tires. I took the tires back to Costco to have a warranty claim filed and to get them replace. 70,000 mile tires on lasting 34010 miles. Tires 70,000 Miles tread wear breakdown. My Van had 35,746 miles on it when I got the tires. Then at 69,756 the 15 point inspection deemed the tires requiring immediate attention and in need of replacement after only 34,010 miles. There was a rod failure in the engine. The vehicle is currently at the repair facility. This rod failure caused the vehicle to die while traveling down the road, so it was a safety risk. The rod failure was diagnosed by a certified mechanic. There were no warning lamps, messages, etc. This failure is the same issue that many Kia Forte's of the same year have been diagnosed with, and a recall was issued. This vehicle is not covered under the recall, but should be. The engine recall should be extended to all 2017 Kia Forte models.

In March of 2021 I received an AirBag Recall letter. I took in my vehicle, letter in hand, very clear that the recall was why I was there. 40 minutes later, I was given a letter that said I had come in for "an airbag warranty extension and wanted it checked" and that I "might need a map light." I DO still have that letter. I asked "So, the airbag is actually alright?" and the Service Manager, Roy Valdivia said "yes." Since then I have driven my daughter and countless others, including work related clients in that passenger seat, having no idea that that airbag was essentially a pipe bomb. A Recall Specialist came to my door last week, [XXX], and told me I NEEDED to get this airbag replaced, it is "dangerous." I just came home from having that done. The brake vacuum is leaking and it makes the brake hard when the car is off, as soon as I start the car after pushing the brake hard enough, the brake pedal returns to its normal state. I am concerned that if something happens to the break while I am driving, this is very risky. I went to the dealer four times and they are always telling me that the car is normal but before it didn’t have this problem. So the problem is not confirmed by the dealer. Also I have another Audi a6 same model that doesn’t have this problem.

Summary
2 of my rims have cracked the first one around 8,000 miles and the second at around 14,400 miles. I have never cracked a rim before in my life except these 2 within the last few months. I do not take it off-roading and drive on regular roads in Utah primarily. Tire size 275/40R21 however it is the rim that is breaking. I believe these rims are too thin and low profile to handle the weight of the vehicle. Many others online are also experiencing cracked rims. This is also a safety hazard as a rim cracking could cause the tire to fail at high speeds and cause an accident. The included pictures are of the 2 different rims on the same car.
